The Marsh Mills Beefeater

I joined my friend and her family (six people in total), who had met together following the passing of a close relative of theirs. The service was very poor and our order wasn't put through. It was only when my friend's sister asked why we were waiting so long, when other people around us who had ordered after us, were eating, that the manager came over to us to tell us that the server had forgotten to put our order through to the kitchen. This was very disappointing, as we had already been waiting a long time before we said anything. The manager told us that she would arrange for us to have some garlic bread while we waited. This was no good to me as I am gluten and lactose intolerant. I was starting to feel quite light-headed with the long wait for the food. Unbelievably, the garlic bread was also forgotten and left on the side, ready to be delivered to us. Once again, we had to chase this up. Our food, which was fine, eventually arrived, and the one positive outcome of our disappointing experience, was that we weren't charged for the food, which we appreciated. We chose this restaurant as it is accessible for my friend, who has mobility issues, but we are unlikely to be visiting again.

I am Coeliac, so I have to eaten Gluten Free and my friend is Vegan. The menu has a very good choice for both of us, including starters and puddings, as well! The restaurant chefs produced very lovely cooked delicious food. Georgia couldn't have been any better as our server - she's so friendly, smiley, bubbly, and kind. She made sure all of our allergies and dietary needs were met and that our courses came out in a timely manner after each other. She remembered what we'd asked her about in advance and made our experience so much happier, comfortable and smoother - we felt valued, cared for, and listened to. We couldn't have asked for anything better. We hope to see her and the team again soon!
