Having just come back from a great weekend stay here I can highly recommend. I was dubious after reading past reviews, but I fear the people giving less than 4 stars and calling the place snobby, are more than likely very snobby and hard to please themselves. The staff were warm and welcoming, offering to help with our bags and taking us up to our room. The room was spotless, the bed was so comfortable and we were provided with everything we needed, from robes to bathroom accessories. Our 3 course meal in the evening was spot on and the staff were a fabulous mix of friendly and professional; we also loved the breakfast. They accommodated and provided very well for a gluten free diet and did not make it feel like a chore. If you want the cosy feel of home, with accommodating staff and fab food I would not hesitate to say stay and eat at the Timble Inn.
