The Wellington Arms

I recently had my wedding ceremony at the Wellington Arms, and we were absolutely blown away. In the months and days before the wedding Danni's excellent communication made sure we were comfortable and confident that everything would run smoothly, and familiar with the building/what we would be doing. I stayed at the hotel for the night before the wedding, and was very impressed by my room. As a wheelchair user I am used to trading aesthetics for accessibility, but the room and bathroom were both beautiful and accessible. On the day of the wedding, Danni and her colleague Jemma went above and beyond. They checked that I had breakfast, helped decorate and place my rollator, kept everyone informed of the schedule, brought me items when I had forgotten some at home, made sure food and drink service during our meal ran like clockwork, and most of all - were absolutely lovely and made everyone feel comfortable. Guests commented on how great Danni and Jemma are. Us and our guests - even the picky ones - thoroughly enjoyed the food, of which we had a very good range of options to choose from. Guests with Coeliac were also well catered for, and our communication about gluten-free food was taken seriously. Thank you to all of the staff who helped in the lead up to and on the day, we are so grateful that you made our day amazing.

Popped out to have a couple of drinks on Friday evening. Warm greeting on arrival, staff friendly and helpful. Didn't have food this time, but have eaten here before - good options for gluten free which is always a bonus. Best visited in the summer as the outdoor dining terrace is lovely.
