Good to know

1

They use the same pans and cookware for regular and gluten-free bread without cleaning them between batches.

2

This practice is unsafe for most celiacs.

3

Wild Oat Bakery, Cafe & Farm offers amazing gluten-free options.

4

I should get there early because the gluten-free options sell out fast.

5

Their menu changes daily, so I should check their website before I go.

It's a small place and very popular. I took my sister here who has a gluten allergy and she had grilled cheese with lentil bread (pictured and almost finished). She loved it and they do not skimp out on the cheese. I had the Oaxaca sandwich which was very good and the spiciness was just right, paired with a Thai carrot soup. Coffee was good and served in a big glass mug. We had a window view which was a bit cramped but felt alright. You see so many people come in of all ages and backgrounds. Servers were friendly, left us mostly alone and revisited when needed. Atmosphere is very local and rustic.

I went to this place several times. Food is ok, environment looks like alternative and co., but there is always one main issue: staff is extremely unwelcoming, unkind and snobbish. This happened in many different occasions and with different staff members. I went to this place with several people, we all agree. Probably it is just the culture of the place. It doesn’t really matter if the food is organic, gluten free or what else if then kindness is a far away concept.
