Barro's Pizza

It’s still a good value in Pizza. I’m not a fan of the thick crust. But now they have gluten-free. The dining area is large, always a lunch special by the slice.

Let me say at the out-set, I am very particular about the sauce on a pizza. Many pizza joints dope their sauce with an excess of sugar to balance the natural acid in the tomato in the sauce. Barro's does not. Their pizza sauce is extremely well balanced and a delight. We typically order take-out. I always order my pizza uncut. The reason I do so, is because we live at the far west end of Ahwatukee, and by the time the pizza get to our house, it drip between the slices and the crust gets soggy. Most of the time Barro's gets it right and leaves the pizza uncut. Another thing we appreciate is the fact that they stock a gluten-free crust that my wife can eat. On the rare occasions we do eat in, we enjoy their nice menu offerings and service. They been a good neighbor business to Ahwatukee deserving our support.
