It's Publix. It's fine if you're not on a budget. Prices go up on many of the same products that I buy, about bi-weekly from 25-50 cents. The quality & care given to many foods sold there is of the highest, though, compared to Neighborhood Walmart or Aldi. Have not shopped at Whole Foods or Winn Dixie, in some time. Walmart tends to let frozen foods thaw b4 stocking and a lot of those foods are covered in ice or one big frozen ice ball inside package, esp ice cream, and foods in plastic bags or the customers who have zero community awareness or dont care & leave steaks in the coffie aisle or hold doors open for a very long time while deciding what they want, or don't make sure doors are shut. Their house brand organic broccoli has way less florets & just doesn't taste as good as Publix. I have found expired cold foods at Aldi ( Walmart too) or no expiration date. So check cold food for dates. Not a good idea to buy cold perishables w/o knowing how long they've been refigerated. Staff didnt know either, at Aldi. These were stuffed Portabella mushrooms & plain caps, so.... There are products that I only buy at Publix, b/c they seem to have enough staff to keep store stocked & products fresh. I buy what I can at Walmart( the Neighborhood store in PSL has a much bigger selection of vegan, some low-carb & sugar & gluten-free items g-f about same as whats at Supercenter Worth the trip because they carry a lot of the same things Publix does for less, like ginger sugar free tea powder from Jamaica( love that stuff, comes in single use packets Pour it in your tea everyday as it is supposed to be quite good for us) There are some things that I can only find at Publixs or the quality is better. Organic frozen broccoli is one. Their organic veggies, in general, ( Walmart frozen organic spinach, corn, mixed veggies & riced cauli ( they are rarely in stock, though) Frozen items in plastic bags have not been allowed to thaw out in on floor & put then out for sale. Many of those items state not to refreeze. Ice cream containers arent covered in frost( refrozen loses taste or has burn) They also carry Scharf gluten free hard bread & sticks, Dates rolled in coconut( one of my favs) They are under the shelf in produce. Frozen Cedarlane Eggplant Parmesan is amazing. Sodium 550 mgs & real ricotta cheese. Blows Michael Angelo's away about $3 more but worth it. British baked beans which are more tomatoey than US style. Keto pasta( 3grms carbs but no real texture or flavor) One thing I didn't know( per store employee) & maybe everyone else does, is that none of their seafood is fresh. It is all frozen & is allowed to thaw in display case, so don't refreeze any thawed seafood from Publix. Yhey do make, i believe, but clarify, that their raw salmon cakes are made on site or at distribution center. May not have been frozen but salmon probably was They are very good and come in at least 2 flavors, ive tried thevlemon dill and cheeseburger? and they're really good They do have a lot of additives, though Cost $5.99 but they're big & thick. The customer service is some of the best. They have the best return policy of any store I've ever shopped & if u don't have receipt, or its been partially eaten, no problem. Products & services are dependent on the area. Live in a rural part of FL & food stores cater 2 major clientele Must be a large Hispanic community around b/c there is large selection of these foods in Walmart. Why is it that the less ingredients food have the more they cost?? Sorry but I need 2 digress here b/c want ppl 2 know what moms on WIC(used it 4 few weeks so I could finish nursing school) go thru We all aren't lazy drug addicts Only allowed 2 get Simulac If it inflames/causes colicky probs & another doesn't, 2 bad. My sweet grandaughter was in pain 4 months b/c doc told my daughter a 1st time mom she was just a fussy baby Nothing could be less true Shes only fussy when hungry or tired Anti-early abortion pp & g-d don't show any concern about the misery an unwanted child can carry, usually 4 life That is sinful
