Andy Nguyen's Vegetarian Restaurant

It is super challenging to find vegan, gluten free, organic options in Sacramento - especially on a Sunday night - but this place wowed me. Almost every item can be made gluten free, and everything either is vegan or can be made vegan. The spring rolls are the best I’ve ever had, and I eat a lot of spring rolls - highly recommend the Buddha Roll as well as the Karma roll, both were 10/10. I’ll also be craving the Lemon Grass Garlic Tofu Squares and the Sea Salt Smoked Oyster Mushrooms until we can get back, those were both insanely delicious. The Eight Fold Path salad is organic perfection, as well. This place is an absolute must for anyone conscious about organic ingredients, or looking for Vegan + GF options. I’ll be relying on it whenever I’m in town, now!

Great tasting vegan and vegetarian Vietnamese and Thai influenced dishes with delightful names. Our favorites: Karma Roll, Awakening of Faith (aka Bun), and Dragon Mushroom Hotpot (with a sauce to die for). Full of fresh seasonal veggies. Thai Iced tea made with coconut milk is a delicious alternative to the standard dairy-based drink. Also, this restaurant easily handles requests for dishes to be wheat-free/gluten-free. In fact, the menu lists many dishes that are available with a wheat-free option. Staff are knowledgeable and very friendly. I have eaten here many times and have never been inadvertently "glutened." As with many things these days, eating out has become more expensive, and this restaurant is no exception. Each person must choose their own path. For us, we would rather spend our dollars dining out only once per month on delicious, fresh and healthful food like that served at Andy Nguyen's (and by doing so supporting local establishments), than by eating multiple times at nationwide restaurant chains serving lower quality or less healthful options.
