I’ve been a fan of The Odd Couple for many years now. So much that I celebrated my 40th bday here with 37 close friends. We had a family style dinner with a set menu that the owner worked directly with me on. They are extremely accommodating with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten intolerance dietary restrictions.
The food is a delicious and the desserts are extremely underrated.
Highly recommend for any occasion.
The atmosphere, service, and food were all exceptional. I had a classic Benny and notified them that I had celiac disease and they were very helpful in accommodating my food restrictions. We had to be put on a 45 minute waitlist, but the food and experience made it well worth it.
We've enjoyed Cohens a few times - we miss the old happy hour menu (more choices!) - glad the pico fries (now in tot form) are still available. I miss the brussel sprouts, and I think there was a gochugaru wings or some meat appetizer that was phenomenal before that seems to be gone now.
The last time I went I got a gluten free burger - unfortunately the bun wasn't toasted or heated so it just totally disintegrated when I was trying to eat. I definitely felt sick after also, so I think there was a fair amount of cross contamination.
We didn't realize it was trivia when we went last, and it was very very loud - especially the music portion, the music clips went on for a very long time and the stereo feedback between clips was brutal. I wouldn't stay next time if we happen to go during karaoke.
We picked up a variety of vegan food items for takeout. The owner Abhi is very kind. He takes great pride in his creations. The food was DELICIOUS. Everything was seasoned so well, so flavorful!! Perfect. We tried the Supreme Veggie Burger, one gluten free and one regular. The Veganish Fries, I couldn’t try because they’re not gluten free. My husband said they’re sooo good and he can’t wait to have them again. I enjoyed the Birria Tacos made of seafood mushrooms and jackfruit, such great flavor with a little spice and kick. And we also had the Falafel Salad with homemade ranch. The homemade falafels were great. The ranch is so delicious! We also had some drinks and they were great - nothing like I’ve had before. I can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu.
It’s a takeout or delivery place. My tip is if you're getting takeout, try and eat is as soon as you can so it’s nice and hot and fresh.
What a gem. Thankful for this vegan food spot. 🙏
Incredible latte (great coffee flavor, not too sweet), and ordered a gluten free breakfast sandwich (I'm celiac). It seemed like it was on a homemade gluten free biscuit? And it was INCREDIBLE - great texture and flavor, buttery, held together well and was lightly grilled. 12/10
Amazing little cafe, the decor is vintage and extremely cool. Lots of historical decor, adds to amazing atmosphere.
The service was extremely high quality, everyone who works there is lovely. There were two allergies at my table (gluten and nuts) and both were accommodated by the staff.
The food was delicious. Everything is homemade in the cafe. Their hollandaise is absolutely amazing. I had their steak, it was perfectly cooked to my request (rare).
Will be visiting again when I’m back in Saskatoon. I highly recommend eating here.
This is the first of its kind in our area. I am so happy that the cafe opened up. Typically when my little attends other places the atmosphere is chaotic. Here at Baby Bean it is so relaxed and lets you and your little unwind and connect in a safe space. The food is made with love and fresh ingredients. They also have amazing baking and sone gluten friendly options. We purchased a cup from their available merchandise as well as a key chain and we’re pleased with the quality. We also really enjoyed the Halloween event and are looking forward to playtime with Santa. We attend the cafe a few times a week as it is our new go to when we need to get out of the house. The owner has created the perfect space for all to enjoy. You also do not need a child to visit. Please join for the good vibes if you’re alone. I think this is a great opportunity for the elderly to connect as well!
