There are gluten-free and vegan options. As a person with gluten intolerance and a vegan diet, I went there two days in a row. The bowls are super tasty, I can highly recommend the spring bowl. Prices are super fair.
For us, Franz Ferdinand is the best place in Bochum for Austrian cuisine. The food is high-quality, delicious, and lovingly prepared. What's especially cool is that from the terrace, you can even see a few animals from the zoo behind it. You don't get that everywhere.
And the place looks really impressive.
The menu offers many classic dishes, but also modern interpretations. Especially good for people with food intolerances: There are many gluten-free options.
The service is attentive, friendly, and fast. Even if the restaurant isn't one of the cheapest, the quality is definitely worth the money. Everything is clean, well organized, and run with passion.

Very nice and helpful staff and everything worked great with the gluten-free kitchen! The dishes were specially marked on the normal menu. In addition, there was also a small note that care was taken to ensure that everything was prepared as gluten-free as possible, but that cross-contamination could not be 100% ruled out. I found that very thoughtful and made me feel good. The selection isn't huge, but everything was delicious! And there was also gluten-free soy sauce as an alternative, which I found very thoughtful.

We registered for the menu carousel at Post's Lottental. All dishes were of a high standard, both in terms of taste and appearance. In the gluten-free menu, gluten-containing components were replaced and not simply left out, as has already been the case several times with the competition. We would like to give special praise to the service (Volkan), who was very pleasant due to his unobtrusive, brisk and humorous manner. We will definitely be visiting this restaurant again!
Since September, when I started occupational therapy, I've been going out for coffee almost every Thursday. What I like best is that both the employees and the customers are young and that you don't have to speak German there because even the employees speak English among themselves.
The best part was when I found out they always have two gluten free cakes! And if I had to ask for something I would ask for lactose free milk, but that's okay.
