5 Stars! A Delicious American Dream at Herbie's Diner Herbie's Diner is a hidden gem tucked away on the A1307 (not directly accessible from the A14 anymore). From the moment you step inside, you're transported to a classic American diner experience. The red and white booths, vintage décor, and the pinball machine create a fun and nostalgic atmosphere. The menu is a true celebration of American comfort food. They have everything you crave, from fluffy pancakes and sizzling bacon for breakfast (served on weekends only!), to juicy burgers, succulent ribs, and refreshing salads. There's something for everyone, including vegetarian, vegan, and plenty of gluten-free options. I opted for The Blue, and it was fantastic. The patty was cooked to perfection, the bun was soft and delicious, and the toppings were fresh and flavourful. The portion size was generous, and the sides (I recommend the fries!) were perfect for rounding out the meal. Also the milkshakes are amazing! The service at Herbie's Diner is just as excellent as the food. The staff are friendly, attentive, and always happy to recommend dishes or answer questions. They truly make you feel welcome and ensure you have a great dining experience. Overall, Herbie's Diner is a fantastic spot for a casual and delicious American-style meal. The atmosphere is fun, the food is top-notch, and the service is friendly. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Herbie's Diner is definitely worth a visit. You won't be disappointed

Pizza in very good and pasta wasn't overcooked!! Maybe a little pricey but it worth a visit. Beautiful restaurant and location. Service quick and kind. Great gluten free choises.

I went for lunch with family. I was very impressed with the number of gluten free options - there's a separate menu. I really enjoyed the GF asparagus starter. I am gluten intolerant (get very ill if I have gluten). All 4 of us enjoyed our meal. From the standard menu everyone loved the chicken satay. My Dad likes the linguine.

Don’t be put off by a few recent reviews about speed of service, reckon they just had a bad week! We visited on a busy, sunny Sunday afternoon. Despite this, drinks came within minutes and food in only a few more. Service was friendly and pizzas were top drawer, with gluten free pizza the best wife’s ever tasted! Tiramisu with a Nutella twist also really good. We’ll be back!

Olivia was very lovely server, the food was excellent, no complaints there, the dessert was a little slow coming out but nothing seriously to moan about, sat in a booth open to the Grafton center and felt a little cold, but nothing major. Good understanding of celiac and gluten free needs

Busy, friendly cafe off the main avenues of central Cambridge. Seating is downstairs, upstairs and outside across the road! Order excellent coffee at the till and get a table number stand for your drinks to be served to you. Superb gluten free brownies and cakes, helpfu,l friendly staff. Also does takeaway drinks in standard sizes, none of that Venti, Grande sizing, just a mug full of excellent tasting coffee and if you want more, order two!!
