We always have fun at Picazzos. The food is gluten-free, which is great for my wife and my daughter. The waiters are happy and fun. They are very good at keeping everything fresh and hot. Highly recommend.
The gluten free options are amazing. The tuna sandwich has been fantastic each time so it’s kept me from trying other things because I enjoy it so much. Their coffee is great, both the normal espresso and decaf! The homemade syrups are wonderful
Heck yeah!!!! Awesome pizza. Best gluten free crust around ( and by that i mean anywhere from NY to PHX). My wife has celiac and this was her go to place 3 out of 6 days. Pizza was so good in fact our party ordered it two days in a row and it might of been a third but theyre closed on Mondays. HIGHLY recommend the chicken pesto (add spinach).
Please note this review is of the north phx location and may or may not apply to the others.
The counter ordering service was great, as was the food being brought out quickly. The decor is simple, but I loved the family history picture wall. The food was very good. I was very pleased to see gluten free pizza options. My granddaughter really enjoyed her pizza and fries. My fried zucchini was wonderful, as were the meatballs. They also had a great selection of fountain drinks.
Overall, fantastic!! It is a mix of a casual restaurant with a clean, casual space for eating in, as well as a small market with to-go options for foods. The staff at the front are extremely helpful and kind. I have celiac disease (strict gluten-free) and vegetarian, and I was pleasantly surprised about the gluten-free vegetarian options that were absolutely delicious, and with multiple options. Their fryer only cooks tostadas and tortilla chips, which are both gluten-free, so thus a gluten-free fryer was available! I enjoyed a doble style with a southwest veggie tamale, hatch & jack tamale, and sides of pinto beans and a bean & cheese tostada. The portions are extremely generous and also served with some chips. This was definitely the best tamales I have ever had. The tamale thickness and texture was perfect, while the hatch chile and cheese smothered in cheese suace on top was delicious and accompanied well by the savory southwest veggie tamale covered in red chile sauce. I wish tamales everywhere were served like this. The size of the sides was generous, and both the tostada and beans were an excellent complement to the tamales. I devoured them too quickly. They were so good, I decided to buy 6 frozen tamales (they have 5 veggie and 4 vegan options!) for my road trip, and my only regret is not making it in time to go again in person before leaving Phoenix. Excellent service, ambiance, and food that is both delicious and well-priced .
I used to love this place, although it had been a few months since I last went. Today my husband and I ordered food and they sent the wrong burger for me, I couldn't eat it even if I wanted to, given that I am gluten intolerant and ordered a gluten free bun. I am also currently 32 weeks pregnant and haven't eaten yet today (so I was really looking forward to this meal). I was very displeased with how it was handled and offered no compensation for the fact my order was wrong and my husband had to drive all the way back there and pick it up. Food is good, but I will not be coming back.
Happy with food and service. I'm mistakenly forgot to ask for gluten-free granola, and they were quick to kindly obliged. Food is fresh, healthy, and good. Prices are reasonable.
Pictured is a chia seed putting with fruit, and the green curry tofu bowl with added chicken.
My new go-to burger spot. The steakhouse burger (with gluten free bun) was phenomenal, as all the flavors came together into one delicious bite. This was all complimented brilliantly by the sweet tots, which I highly recommend. The classic buffalo wings were also fantastic. Service was pristine, and the atmosphere was calm for the time I went (a July Sunday at noon), which worked for me— I wasn’t looking for a super amped up spot. I’m sure NFL Sundays and college football gamedays are more packed. I’ll be back!
Really enjoyed the food here! We’ve lived near by for years and finally decided to try it out since we had some guests in town but really recommend. Very quick service for pickup and really tasty. Even have gluten free options! Will definitely be eating here again!
So yummy! Best chicken parmigiana with vodka sauce! Best cannolis! Don’t Call Me Shirley (dirty Shirley temple - add a shot of Vodka!!) Food & Desserts are AMAZING! My friend always gets the gluten free pasta and she loves it (me too)!!
The new management has taken what is good and made it gourmet. The ingredients are real food, right down to the garlic. The new sauce is superb, so get extra. The BEST BEST BEST part is the four day slow rise hint of sourdough crust where so much of the gluten is gone that you could literally do a CrossFit workout after eating it. Just stop eating crap chemical pizza and eat here.
Top 5 pizza places in AZ, I'm currently on a gluten free diet, their gluten free pizza was great, it still has the classic Barros taste. 10 inch for 9.99
This is my favorite place for a hearty pasta meal! I am Gluten Free and you would never be able to tell that they are different noodles. The helpings are large enough that we always have leftovers.
BEST Chicken Caesar Salad and Gluten Free Pizza in town! New Watermelon Gelato is so delicious. Must try the Chocolate, Chai, Oreo, Banana, Coconut, and Sugar Free.
The pizza is amazing always. Tombstone IPA For the win. We do the cheeburger cheeburger pizza, and we add jalapenos to this and it makes it such a delightful Tangy treat. I don't remember seeing this on the menu but they do offer gluten-free pizzas in the small size. Also their oven baked chicken wings are actually amazing. They have a lot of different beers on tap not just the tombstone, they have a special IPA that is apparently brewed just for them from what I'm understanding and it's called the red eye and that was absolutely worth a try as well. I cannot tell you how many different combinations of pizza this place has and I love them all. They have the meat lovers and that's always a win for me. We definitely want to get more adventurous and try some of the other ones but for now we are sticking to the basics that we know and trying all the different varieties of beer that they have available.
I tried Gyro House 32 for the first time and was definitely disappointed. The gyro had plenty of meat in it but it had so many little bits of nerve and fat and bone, which I've never experienced before in a gyro. With every single bite I had to pick out multiple pieces of nerve and fat out of my mouth and it made the whole experience really really unpleasant. I found myself just wanting to take the meat out and just eat the pita by itself because eating the meat was such a gross experience.
The spinach triangles and falafel both had a very strong dirty oil flavor to them and it's very easy to picture them being cooked in very old dirty dark brown oil. It made the whole thing taste really gross. Other than that, the spinach triangles just taste like spinach. They don't really seem to have any kind of depth of flavor or seasoning. The falafel was very dry and has a tart lemony flavor which I wasn't expecting and was not the most pleasant experience.
On a positive note - The actual pita bread itself is fluffy and soft and thick and tastes amazing. It's perfect. It's exactly what pita should be.
The baklava is the best baklava I've ever had. It's even better than my homemade baklava and that's pretty good. This baklava has such a perfect balance of sweet and crunchy with a delicate undertone of... is that saffron? Orange blossom water? I'm not sure but it's worth driving there just for the baklava.
However the real star of the show is their chocolate cake. They have a gluten-free chocolate cake and a regular piece of chocolate cake - the gluten-free is not a bad choice, it is good... but their regular chocolate cake slice is the best chocolate cake I've ever had in my entire life. It has a layer of dark chocolate ganache on top, followed by a nice thick layer of silky chocolate mousse, followed by a layer of chocolate cake, followed by a thinner layer of chocolate mousse, followed by an Oreo cookie crust. It is by far the best thing I've eaten probably in my life. Wow. Absolutely incredible. I just wish their food matched the stellar quality of that cake... but so few things in life can.
The food I give a one star, but their cake and baklava, definite five stars. Definitely worth a drive over just for their desserts.
As many of us are trying to do, it is to eat healthier and cleaner and that's often not easy, especially while traveling. This place was such a nice surprise. I went there with friends when and while it took me a minute to figure out what to order I ended up going with the steak which was cooked perfectly, the parmesan broccoli and the gluten free mac and cheese. Both of the sides were fantastic and the mac and cheese for gluten free was shockingly good. You could''t tell the difference. This place is a really nice surprise and the quality of food feels like a great deal for the price. The staff was friendly and really good about answering any questions about the menu.
Diana and Alex are the best and friendliest, coupled with amazing service! The food is consistently delicious and they are gluten and soy allergy friendly, just let your server know.
Over the past year, I have eaten here or ordered take-out at least once each month and have never been disappointed. This family-owned, gem of a restaurant serves up some amazing food. There is always complementary milky chai tea hot and ready. You can trust their spice level recommendations. Friendly atmosphere. There are also many Gluten Free and Vegan options. I have not yet had to wait for a seat but would definitely be willing to do so.
Absolutely fabulous casual dining experience! Great, great customer service from Ethan and Shannon. Shannon is the "go to" person for excellent soups and salad dishes for hearty healthy delights... Thank you!
The food is FRESH!!! No prewrapped anything. All items made fresh daily and the freshly made breads are impeccable. Just look at these photos -- This establishment is "Off-da-Chain!!!"
Can you imagine this place during winter season? If it's crowded now, just think when the weather is cooler. Yummy!
***My sandwich Turkey and Avocado came with no bread (gluten free)*** The white bean w/chicken chili was so tasty and full of flavor. Scrumptious!
Another great morning! Julia is fantastic. How can you go wrong with pancakes?? Gluten free pancakes no less. I'm really grateful to have a breakfast place that has GF pancakes that doesn't cost a small fortune
Do not eat here if you have food allergies. They will do absolutely nothing to accommodate them while your party gets to eat. Won’t even offer to wash a cutting board in between. Shouldn’t even bother offing “gluten friendly options” if the server says there’s extremely high chance of cross contamination. Very sad and disappointing experience.
I’m from Michigan and this is a great piece of home! 🍕➡️🖐🏽
My wife has a gluten allergy so I got a 4 🟥 as well, she prefers the regular Detroit style.
I’ll be back 🛩️’s! 🤙🏽
Ghefood was delicious. Service was beyond outstanding. We had to drive a long distance to get there but it was worth it. Will go back often. Service was the best we have ever had. Can get no spice and gluten free. 😊
Aimee’s Swine House was an amazing breakfast option for us! The service was quick and our host was friendly. The food was very good and the side of fruit I received was a pleasant surprise, given the great quality and quantity of fruit. The pigs in a blanket or “keto burrito” was delicious and the hot sauces provided were vegan and gluten free. Overall 5/5 and very reasonably priced! Thank you for the delicious breakfast:)
Easy to find from the street. Prompt and friendly service. Clean and spacious dining room. Delicious food at competitive prices. Gluten friendly options. A very enjoyable experience!
Way to do it Tatum Parkplace!!! I'm Gluten Free and Firehouse has the best GF bread in town. For over a month they were out of GF bread I would call weekly to see if they had received their delivery. Much to my joyous surprise there was a VM left for me saying they had finally received GF bread. I NEVER GAVE THEM MY NAME OR NUMBER. SOMEONE took it upon themselves to save my number and outreach to me. THIS IS CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!❤️
Am a Celiac and ended up at this place after a girls night out. I let the waitress know about my sensitivity and she went back to the kitchen to ask. Originally she had offered their gluten free pizza, but upon returning she let me know that the chef recommended the antipasto salad. She ensured they would change all the cutting boards and knives to avoid cross contamination. ( This is what I call great service!)
I had the best salad I had not eaten in a while and did not get sick at all.
The other ladies had pasta, wings, and pizza. They too said their food was amazing and so were the drinks.
I love, love, love the Pollo locos enchiladas here! They are Gluten Free! And probably is the best recipe ever! This place has great customer service and I love coming here.

This is a hidden treasure for sure. It opened about a month ago. It is in a shopping mall. The sushi 🍣 was amazing. Honestly it could be the best sushi I have had in Phoenix. The purple rice was my favorite and each piece was extremely fresh and moist. We sat at the sushi bar. I am gluten free and dairy and was able to find several options.
