I love this place. It’s fun with kids, the food and service were amazing. And the shakes are heavenly.
Only downside is that there are no gluten free options outside a fruit bowl for my daughter with Celiac. But we are very used to her bringing her own food, and they didn’t bat an eye at it.
The first problem was that the food we received didn't meet our expectations based on the menu description. My friend and i both ordered chicken enchiladas in tomatillo sauce with sour cream. The whole plate was smothered in sour cream, no sign or taste of the tomatillo. It was very bland. My friend told the waiter she couldn't handle so much sour cream and asked if she could get a different sauce put on it. He plopped a bottle of tabasco down on the table. So she pulled the chicken out of the enchilada. It came out as a whole piece and was breaded! The menu said nothing about that or i would never have ordered it!
I thought it was weird that a whole piece of chicken was inside the tortilla but hadn't noticed the breading. I can't eat breading! I asked the waiter. He didn't know and made no move to find out. I asked again if he could go in the kitchen and find out. He went reluctantly and came back to say "yeah, it is only slightly breaded". I repeated that i cant have breading, even a small amount. But by now 2/3 of my plate was gone...he simply said "sorry about that."
We told the manager as well that the waiter wasnt helpful and that the menu needs to be clearer. People with celiacs need to know. She apologized but offered nothing, not even to comp the queso.
