Great deli with indoor and outdoor seating. Gluten free bread with a separate preparation area and utensils. Many great sandwiches to choose from as well as gluten free chips.
A cozy spot with delicious food at great prices, where the staff goes the extra mile to ensure a fantastic experience.

Food is really really good, but especially for the price! I have celiac disease and I have never gotten sick, they are very conscientious about allergies. Manager was super nice, staff make sure you're taken care of. Love the Mediterranean chicken bowl!!
A hidden gem with large servings and an accommodating vibe, perfect for a satisfying meal while traveling.

Just wanted to thank Teriyaki Madness for making their teriyaki sauce gluten free. We stumbled across this restaurant a couple weeks ago while traveling home from the central coast. We always struggle to find food for my daughter with celiac and so we were thrilled to find this restaurant chain. The food was great, serving size was large. We let the staff know about her disease and they changed gloves. It looks like they also have locations near us! 🎉🥳👏🎊🙌🍾
Awesome service! My son has celiac and the employees were very helpful. Not only did they change their gloves, but the serving spoons as well. Thank you so much!!!
Charming spot near the Steinbeck center with unique decor, great vibes, and a variety of interesting American-style options.

I was so impressed by the spot in Salinas near the Steinbeck center. It is very hard to find good gluten-free bread at any restaurant let alone the option in general. I had the tuna out and it was fantastic! They have American style options with some flair. Great decor, and very fair prices. I will be back!
Sketchy vibes with a flickering parking lot, a mix of rude management and occasional good service, plus a not-so-great atmosphere for families.

This place used to be amazing. Now it's just sketchy. Prices are higher every time we go. The manager woman is rude, constantly barking at the employees. The bathroom is disgusting, you can smell it from the front door. If you have a large party you have to wait outside. Which, if you like hanging out next to the homeless and degens from the laundry mat and head shop in the dark is great, but for a family, is not. The parking lot lights are almost all completely out, and this parking lot is known for theft. 100% sketch. Will not be going back.
Update 3/7/23, returned for my daughters birthday. Parking lot is illuminated, service was prompt and very friendly. Food was pretty good. For some reason they are still serving tea in paper cups like we are in quarantine. Food was expensive, but really, what isn't these days. Bathroom was clean and freshly painted, unfortunately some degenerate tagged the fresh paint. Cranky manager lady is now working the sushi bar and didn't bark at anyone during our visit. Had Gluten free soy sauce too!
Always enjoy dinner here. However the gluten free spagetti and gluten free pizza is now subject to surcharges or fees. Not happy with an extra $6 dollars added to the prices for dinner.
Incredible carne asada steals the show, with perfectly seasoned meat and accommodating options for special requests.

I ordered a carne asada taco, a pollo taco, & rice and beans and it was all fantastic. This was definitely the best carne asada I've ever had! The meat was perfectly seasoned and very lean. I also have a gluten allergy and love that they have gluten free tortillas upon request. The staff were so nice & understanding with all of the food allergy questions I had, which means a lot to me. I cant wait to come back & eat here again :).
We ordered a gluten free pizza and it was very very good. The kid and myself loved the way the pizza was made and tasted. The restrooms weren't clean but the pizza was very good.
Step inside a charming blend of art deco elegance and cozy vibes, complete with unique decor and a lively atmosphere that promises a great time.

8/1 Updated: Alas, in the blink of an eye it’s finally open! Alvarado Street Brewery: the radical fun loving and well championed brew producers in the world of beer today, is back, and now wearing a fur coat and a string of pearls.
Entering Alvarado on Main you are greeted by a host station adorned with mesmerizing green tile facade. Your first thought is we are no longer at Kings Den, Todo. Three questions: Do you have a reservation? How many in your party? Bar or Booth?
Across a chevron patterned wooden floor are green velvet lined booths and comfy chairs that flanks the circular bar area. You are handed two menus, one premium-grade textured thick stock Lunch menu or depending on time of day, a Dinner menu. The other is the double sided beer menu on basic office paper white because that menu changes nearly daily.
A new menu, God bless! New vegetarian tacos, large wedges of artichokes. New sandwiches! The Moroccan chicken sandwich with flavors so correct I could feel the sand between my toes. I would use one of those modern day typing machines to send word home, that was the most interesting chicken sandwich I have had all year. Currently the menu does accommodate with vegan, vegetarian and gluten options, a modern necessity.
The service is formal, warm and well versed. The servers are happy to talk beer and steer you towards the new and popular. Which is quite welcoming because every day folk need the guidance. There’s a brew for near every occasion, every palet, every craving and pairing, a hard days work reward, the weather, a sweet and sour tooth, an afternoon treat. Alvarado Street has got you covered.
Sitting comfortably and taking in the ambiance you can’t help but to appreciate a few things that make Alvarado On Main magical. Acoustics are softer compared to their Monterey location. Art deco style is oozing with elegance. Local artist Lisa Haas was brought in to paint and texture walls and ceilings with period correct charm and design accents. On the way towards the restroom you will find the old bank vault door proudly mounted at the service pass. The tail end of the room, the most glamorous mother of pearl crane panel you could feast your eyes on, trés chic! You forget that you are sitting at a modern day brewhouse, instead it feels like you have been whisked away into a bustling hotel lobby bar in the roaring 20’s. I’m imagining this place is going to be an absolute riot during New Year’s parties. I will be booking my next few lunch dates here soon, highly recommend you make them on Open Table for smooth entries.
Very good food, and you can customize anything. Also various dishes off menu, seasonal. Ask what ingredients are available. Also, tell server about allergy requests such as gluten free.
Enjoy a cozy spot with well-cooked pizzas and plenty of toppings, plus vegan options in a clean, tidy setting.

Good food, gluten free and vegan options. The gentleman working was friendly, and the dining area was clean and tidy. The pizzas were cooked well and there was no shortage of toppings on the two non cheese pizzas. The cheese bread was soft with an alright amount of cheese, not too much but not too little. Overall it's a decent spot to stop in for pizza especially if you are looking for non dairy/gluten free options
