Amazing! They all heard about our gluten allergy and took care of us, they went above and beyond. A server named, Victoria, went out of their way to validate our parking as well! Their bottom sirloin is a must and highly recommend. We will be coming back!
The food was just okay, but not great for the prices they charge. We ordered carry out. Also, we had ordered some entrees gluten free due to an allergy. They did not label which meals were gluten free, and the pastas we ordered all had the same sauce. Therefore, we could not tell which ones were gluten free, so the individual in our group with an allergy could not risk eating anything. This was a real bummer since we were up charged for gluten free and could not even have them eat the dinner. I would not recommend dining here with a dietary restriction.
Capital Grille has been our favorite restaurant for years but we went there last Sunday night and were very disappointed. We ordered clam chowder soup and it was room temperature by the time we got it. The gluten free calamari were not cooked long enough, it looked like it was thrown together to just get the order out of the kitchen. We ordered 5 rib eye steaks and it took an hour an a half to get them. I understand everyone is understaffed , and for that reason, we didn’t say anything to the server, but the place wasn’t even full when we were there. We will give them another shot, hoping things will be better.
While the games are great fun and it can be great for just games and drinks. We had reservations at 5:45, and a server didn't come to our table for 40 minutes. We had to get up and ask about being served. This wasn't great. After that the several was very friendly. No gluten free food options without risk of cross contamination, so not celiac friendly.
Perfect first stop after flying in to O’Hare! Great gluten free thin crust pizza. Came out way bigger than I expected! Very chill atmosphere and super friendly staff. Good vibes chilling out on the patio and grabbing a late night slice.
Gibsons is an iconic Chicago-style steakhouse that proudly houses 3 well-known locations. The Chicago staple has existed for just under 40 years and is well spoken of by its frequent flyers to include numerous celebrities of many caliber.
The steakhouse offers many different meat cuts, styles, seafood, and steakhouse traditional meals such as lobster, shrimp, Caesar salad, etc. I had dined there a few different times trying a couple of samplings that they offer.
The steakhouse has the ability to accommodate quite a few food allergies to include a gluten allergy.
I’ve been here many times so I’ll share some tips
1. It says Italian steakhouse. Pls forget about Italian part and don’t expect anything for pasta (I tried it was ok). Steak is amazing, go for steak!
2. They have specials for lunch sometimes, ask waiter a special menu, sometimes they do sometimes they don’t
3. I haven’t seen desserts on a menu but ask and you might be surprised- it’s good. I tried cheesecake few times - it’s goooood
4. Here says good coffee - it’s not🫣, it’s ok coffee, they have decaf option, but NO plant based milk- it’s ok, but the taste is also ok, cannot tell its a good one
5. They have breakfast since 6 till 9.30 am it’s in the other part of restaurant, not the main one
6. I tried everything with eggs, my opinion and recommendations:
Breakfast sandwich- plenty of scrambled eggs inside of croissant and couple pieces of bacon
Avocado toast - cannot be substitute for gluten-free bread. Serves with Romanian salad and they have brown bread - perfect combination
Skillet is pretty oily but also fine
The rest of eggs also is good but egg Benedict - don’t ever eat it here, I’m a fan of this dish and I don’t know what those guys did with topping but it’s awful
7. During breakfast only American coffee- no cappuccino or latte (only in main restaurant)
8. I ordered picked up delivery on them website as well- it was fast and proper way as I asked 👌
9. Cocktails are good, have tried just couple of them, they have wine in a menu but not a wine card
P.s. during summer they have patio, and it’s super chilly inside of restaurant, so you have to choose coldness or fresh air 👌
Bad gluten allergy-Chef came to my table to discuss options. I felt confident I would be safe and I was. Great food, great service, and a great lunch with friends!
Our waitress was hilarious and fun which really set the tone for the night. I had never dined here before but we enjoyed some steaks, seafood and fantastic drinks. They do have a gluten free menu and with our food options they were accommodating to exclude the dairy. The menu features fresh fish options which can be prepared any way you prefer; grilled, broiled etc. They have a few typical steak house sides like vegetables, mashed potatoes etc. We went on a Thursday night with friends and the restaurant was quite empty. Facilities were clean, sanitized and staff was in masks. Park in the Loews garage and get your ticket validated. There wasn't valet when we arrived. Overall I'd revisit with friends and pick this location. Our steaks with appetizer and drinks was about $139.
We held a corporate event at Kings and everyone had a wonderful time! The food was absolutely delicious - Kings was even able to accomodate gluten free and vegan options, which were equally excellent! We loved the private space and lanes, it really allowed for us to relax and have fun. From start to finish, beginning with the planning of the event, the service at Kings was fantastic. My questions were always answered quickly and in detail, which gave me peace of mind as planning these types of events can be somewhat stressful. On the day of the event, the service continued to impress - everyone was incredibly helpful and kind. Overall, a truly 5 star experience!
