Baby's on Fire is a Mt. Vernon neighborhood gem! The staff are kind and attentive. I am especially appreciative to have gluten-free options, including the breakfast sandwiches! Thank you for changing gloves and the cutting board to avoid cross-contamination. Also, I love their Community Card Program that provides meals and drinks to our unhoused and/or hungry neighbors. This is a special place.
This was the most incredible Indian food we’ve ever had! The service was so attentive and the food was rich in quality and flavor. I am gluten and dairy free and there were tons of options!
Finally Came here for the first time. Service was nice and quick. Although the written menu isn’t the best to read, I’m glad the cashier was nice enough to partially tell me what was gluten free. She was interrupted by the cook (maybe manager) who let me know what I could have.
I got the red lentil and lemon soup. It was nice. It wasn’t hearty like I’d thought it would be, more of a puree soup. Still a nice texture and flavor.
The eat in area does need a good sweep and mop on the floors. There’s no trash on the floor but it can feel kind of dirty to sit and eat in a very dusty area
I went with a friend on a Sunday afternoon. I ordered the veggie combo with 7 veggies and gluten free injera and hot tea for abt $28 before tax and tip. It was the most delicious! I even had leftovers to enjoy later. They don't giveaway the extra gf injera. My friend received an extra serving of regular injera. The staff is friendly. It has a cozy atmosphere, good for date night.
