We had Mike as our waiter last night and he was awesome! Explained everything thoroughly and happily assisted me with me gluten allergy! Including the chocolate souffle which was AMAZING! We enjoyed it so much we are taking our daughter tonight for her to try! Thanks again Mike you rock!
GLUTEN FREE PEOPLE, listen up!
The new gluten free bagels and toast are the best I have EVER had (and I’ve had them all).
Only the highest quality ingredients are used and they’re made by a local baker! She does not use any fillers or junk, only ingredients you know and are able to pronounce- just check the label on the back of the box. The breads are flavorful, with great texture, crunch and the proper amount of sturdiness to support toppings.
Although I am married to the owner, I take my gluten free opinions and google reviews very seriously.
Happy eating!
Deweys has the most amazing specialty pizzas. It's pricey but worth every penny. The porky fig and Bronx bomber are favorites in our house. Its great that they have gluten free crust options as well!
First watch is absolutely a gem of a place to eat. The selection of food here is marvelous and they have a lot of gluten free options. You have to ask for a menu tho and they have you scan a QR code.
Last few times we have been there is extremely fast. I keep getting the parma hash skillet with gluten free toast and tea.
We have tried a few things here, one thing my girlfriend didn't like and neither did I was the million dollar bacon.
Other than that we have enjoyed everything greatly.
First time and will definitely not be the last!! Food is phenomenal and they will turn any sub into a bowl for us Gluten Free people. I highly recommend this spot to anybody!
There was a wait when we arrived, but it didn’t take too long to be seated. This location appeared to be pretty clean with friendly staff. Now on to the food..
A few of the options we requested were not available, so we had to find alternate items.
Appetizer: Mac n cheese couscous bites…these bites were cooked perfectly with very little excess grease. It paired perfectly with the sauces they provided. This was shareable as there portion size was appropriate.
Drinks: the blueberry sour was not my cup of tea. It tasted like straight liquor while the blueberries had the consistency of the bubblegum that is at the bottom of snow cones from an ice cream truck. Definitely expected better with how expensive it was. Will not order it again. My husband ordered an imperial stout and had no complaints. Coke and water were fine.
Main meal: We ordered 2 ribeye steaks with sides cooked medium rare. They were cooked appropriately and melted in your mouth. My husband had garlic butter and blue cheese added as a topping to his, which created a savory taste. The portion is overabundant and would probably benefit from offering a smaller portion for a lesser price for those who can not finish a 14oz. We both had to ask for boxes. Our biggest complaint with the steaks? The fat could have been trimmed a bit more as there was quite a bit.
Sides: the brussel sprouts with siracha was not a favorite. It was highly disappointing that there is an upcharge for the sprouts when the flavor was lacking, and this is coming from someone who obsesses over sprouts. The steamed broccoli you couldn’t really go wrong with. The steamed vegetable variety had good flavor to it. Add some garlic butter to it if you want something extra. The white cheddar mashed potato turned out being a decent selection as well as the potato did not taste like instant.
Our server: it did not appear to be super busy on our waiter’s side, but we are not sure what all he had going on. It took some time to clear the appetizer dishes, which honestly wasn’t a huge deal. What did get frustrating was asking for a Coke 3 times before receiving it and waiting about 20-30 minutes on a water refill even though we had it on the edge of the table with our appetizer dishes. He did however bring the water without us asking. He had walked past our table multiple times without checking in about refills or the wait time with the food, which ended up being about 45+ minutes. He was pretty sociable and friendly even though we had to wait. He was prompt with bringing our boxes and check.
Pros: Premises clean, steak cooked properly, friendly staff. Large selection to choose from whether food or drinks, some vegan and gluten free options if desired
Cons: a bit pricey, portions too large, food wait times too long, drink refill took multiple reminders, many options not available when we ordered even though we were not told initially they were out or not available.
Side note, our server did tell us they had a few servers not show up which made it slightly busy when we questions about not receiving our refills.
We have no pictures for reference.
I had heard about their gluten free pizza and I’d been wanting to try it, along with the gluten free breadsticks. I ordered a pizza, breadsticks and a salad, for a total of $44. There was only one lady working and she was working her butt off, so hats off to her. However, the pizza, for $21 was a small 6 piece, so-so pizza, and the breadsticks were basically elongated garlic croutons (per my son’s take). I’m sure their regular pizza is fine, but the GF stuff was sad. Salad was very good though.
