Not sure about downtown Warren as a location, but the Mocha house has a cheesecake fact... Copy to it with a star bu... Crossover. I had boneless grilled chicken with mashed potatoes and California mixed vegetables. Unsweetened tea and a gluten free chocolate cake I couldn't believe was gluten-free. Amazing flavors, even the vegetables were charbroiled. I recommend this place. Such a variety of sweets from cheesecake to baked goods, soups and salads to sandwiches and meals. I was impressed.
I’m a Celiac and the kitchen and wait staff went above and beyond to make sure none of my food was contaminated with Gluten by cross contamination. Hands down best place I have been to that knew what to do to make it safe for me to enjoy their food!!
Excellent service. I mentioned I was allergic to gluten and after the order already came out they made me a separate side of potatoes, without me even asking. Very friendly and accommodating. Marissa took my order. She was very professional.
I love their Pizza best part is it can also be gluten free and Celiac safe for my mother and brother and an odd thing on the menu that you wouldn't expect to be good is the pickle pizza which is absolutely amazing
1. When ordering through the website you are able to view the menu without having to click on "order now" and enter all your information. This is a plus. Sometimes I just want to see what's on the menu. You shouldn't have to enter your email or anything else for that matter just to see if a restaurant has something you like.
2. Lots of great sounding options for plant based diets. And they offer vegan cheeses. They also offer gluten free options.
3. Special requests option for each item you order and a place to add notes at checkout. Nice when ordering online and when ordering for special diets. Lots of ways to customize your choices in ingredients too.
4. The Jackfruit Tacos are $13.00 for three. They come with cojita cheese. If you want to make them vegan, it is an extra $3.00. Vegan cheese is more expensive than regular cheese. But not that much more. The upcharge needs to be lowered. Especially given the fact that I couldn't really taste the cheese. And these tacos are small. They are three bites max. I ate one of them in two bites. Street tacos are supposed to be smaller than the tacos most of us are used. They shouldn't be so expensive given their size. The taste was good but I didn't notice anything all that different about them. The restaurant claims that their recipes are more authentic than any other area options. That may be the case but I couldn't tell an appreciable difference. Others in our group said the same, tasted good but nothing to write home about.
5. We ordered the food to be done at 5:15. It was done at 5:15, with a packed house waiting for food. No sooner, which was good. There was concern that the food would be sitting there waiting for us getting soggy. However, by the time we got home, (10 minute drive) the chimichanga someone in our group ordered was not crisp. Which is to be expected. You can't really do crisp with carryout. Unless you're eating in the parking lot.
6. Despite the order form asking for an email and a phone number, I never received a receipt for my online payment. There was concern we would have no way to prove we had paid and would not receive our food. That was not an issue. They had our order and never asked for a receipt. Take a screenshot if you order online. Just in case.
Summary- Despite the small portions, high prices, and less than crisp food, we will probably be back. Maybe in the summer when we can eat there. Bottom line is we love Mexican food and they have some great sounding vegan options.
Had the gluten free white pizza the other day and it’s my new favorite pizza place !! The crust was soooo good just the right amount of peppers and the ricotta was soooo good on it !!! Going back today !!!
The vodka sauce was BY FAR the best I've ever had. My fiance and I both loved our dinners. I'm Celiac and the gluten free penne was cooked to perfection. Will most definitely be back. New favorite place! Also had the gluten free pizza previously on carry out and was amazing as well. A must try!
Food was great and Taylor was very helpful to us in getting a gluten free meal due to celiac. It is difficult to branch out and try new places with this, but were so relieved and grateful that she understood the measures needed to ensure a safe meal. Thank you Taylor and thank you Garbanzo! Give that girl a raise!!
The food was excellent. I have to eat gluten-free, and they had items for me to eat. I had the Eggplant Rollotini, and it was excellent. I will come back to this restaurant.
*Updated 2/3/22 I received email response this morning. They are quick to remedy situation. I hope staff gets encouragement as well as taught supply shortage isn't 'Management not ordering'. Also given a refresher on allergy cross contamination. That said....be kind humans. I've seen humanity acting horribly to all service workers. Just stop and treat people with kindness. Shortages in supplies, people willing to work...kindness goes a long way. Let's ALL play our part in stopping the negativity! I will return after supply issues are normal.
*Will change if management addresses the issue.
*2/2/22 Usually this is a great stop. I will preface this by saying they were extremely busy. Clients seem irritated. That can stress many employees out. That said, I'm frustrated tonight . #1 I have celiac. They "usually" treat the 'allergy' and cross contamination seriously. They did not change gloves or do so tonight. Then, knowing I was getting burger in bowl, never told me they were out of silverware. That makes a difference when you are trying to eat without a bun, I wouldn't have purchased. Then they also missed all condiments. It was disheartening because I can see them working so hard but with prices going up, and messed up order that I cannot eat till I go home, from lack of utensils...I won't be back soon. I hope they get there supplies and give employees support.
Gluten friendly place to grab some amazing BBQ. Staff was extremely friendly. The only issue: you have to make sure they don't toss the hush puppies on the BBQ if you need to be gluten free. Make sure you tell them as they prep the food. Other than that, spectacular place to dine gluten free. Id recommend you wrastle a full set of dem ribs!!! Don't forget to dazz up on some ice cream while your there..truly good stuff
Absolutely dishes. A small menu but done well. If you're gluten free, there are no corn tortillas but you can order the tacos on a bed of tortilla chips instead.
