Mediterranean food is our top go to for a special dinner out and we have our tried and true favorites. Olive's goes on that list. We started with a baba ghanouj that was a little taste of heaven. Our server shared that it was a family recipe and that it was different than most. This pretty mm much wipes out all other competitors! They were happy to send a plate of sliced and well seasoned fresh cucumbers so that I could eat gluten free. Our main courses were gyro and beef souvlaki and the meats were seasoned, and cooked perfectly and served with a melt in your mouth buttery saffron rice. The traditional accompanying salads were fresh with just enough dressing that was packed with seasoning. Our only regret is that we live several hundred miles away!
I had margherita chicken. It was really good. I had about two options because I have Celiac Disease. I would have had so many more options if they had a dedicated fryer. Because of the possible risk, I couldn't choose anything else. Also couldn't have dessert so that was a bummer.
The food was so delicious! Huge portions and the sweet potato fries are to die for. The owner was very nice and pleasant to talk with. They even have gluten free buns or lettuce wraps! Would definitely recommend.
First time to try this. The Calzone smelled so good, I almost snuck a big bite! But it was for my husband. He said it was very good. All I know is that was huge and smelled so, so good! I'm a gluten free gal, so next time I'll definitely have to try that!
