Met friends for dinner and the service was top notch and the food and wine was amazing. I have a wheat allergy and most of the menu is gluten free. I had the shrimp kabob with basmati rice. It was delicious. Highly recommend. Make a reservation! Paid parking lot across the street.
Food was just okay. I’m very confused by the reviews. For anyone that’s had middle eastern food, this lacked quite a bit of flavor. It was fresh though, and certainly wasn’t bad. Pita House is light years better for the same food. I would have given it 4 stars, but I was extremely disappointed at how the kitchen staff treated the cashier and server. He was clearly neurodiverse and doing an incredible job. He was the light of the entire place, and the people in the kitchen treated him like crap. Their menu is labeled gluten free, but the dishes are not gluten free by default. They label it gluten free and then throw it all on top of a pita. You can’t do this, lol. You need to label it gluten free BY REQUEST. I had to go back to the register and let them know not to put it on a pita after I saw other food coming it. This is when the man in the kitchen completely snapped on the poor cashier just trying to remedy the situation. Unacceptable. The woman (manager? Owner?) was sweet, but something needs to be done about the chefs/kitchen staff.
Ordered a gluten free charcuterie board off of the gluten free lunch menu for my 8-year-old daughters who both have celiac disease. Checked the menu at the hostess stand before even sitting down, just to make sure it was a celiac friendly restaurant.
The hostess brought it to the table…it was GORGEOUS! We were thrilled that such a beautiful dish was gluten free! My daughters immediately started eating. Several bites later, the server comes up, starts snatching things off of my daughters’ plates, and says “this isn’t the gluten free bread” and starts collecting just the bread…that already touched the cheese and meat. He said “it’s okay, they only took a few bites of the bread”. And I said “it’s actually not okay; they’re severely allergic” and he just walked off in silence…ignoring me. Every time he came to the table after that, he wouldn’t speak or make eye contact. It was so awkward. Literally weirdest experience in a restaurant ever. We boxed up the cheese and meat and brought it home to feed our dog.
$200 bill for what should’ve been a pleasant, happy lunch; and I’m dealing with severe allergic reactions this evening and sick kids. Do not recommend for allergy families or anyone with dietary sensitivities.
So used to adore this place but like most restaurants COVID has hindered how many people are actually working. Online menu says gluten free options available. Well let me tell you the VAST amount of things you can enjoy!! Salad and rigatoni with either red sauce or meat sauce. The server was nice zero issues with her but product knowledge & even what a food allergy is seemed to be beyond her. I do not fault employees for this as I have a culinary degree myself. Just poorly trained staff which falls back upon management to ensure this happens.
All the food was excellent, fast (even for to go), and service was so nice and welcoming! You get good food portions, and is fresh and hot. Will definitely be one of our go to places in our rotation to eat! Inside was beautiful and clean as well. Lots of gluten free dishes as well which is a big plus for me! 😊
