The food is very tasty and the service is mostly kind but very uninformed. I don't leave undeserved 1 star reviews and I hate that I have to do this but it's 2024 everyone who works in the restaurant industry needs to be intelligent to the difference between vegan and vegetarian and privy to what gluten free means. My 10 year old loves coming here and came here for her birthday today. My spouse is vegan and celiac. The last time we came here was mother's day last year. Both times they put cheese on my wife's food. We frequently dine mexican forward because the offerings are largely gluten free and easily made vegan. The staff at mezcaluna claimed that white rice is not gluten free and wouldn't allow my partner to order it but still put cheese on her food on both occasions. No one who cooks should be uninformed as to the difference between vegan and vegetarian and you have to live under a rock to think that gluten free folks can't have white rice. Both times my wife was mistreated spoken down to and given cheese because vegan and vegetarian are the same thing and gluten free is beyond their understanding. I'm sorry but do better.

We'll be back!! Why? Because the food is great! Fresh made food & authentic flavours, most items are naturally gluten free & just plain delicious! The menu is not huge as it is in the majority of Mexican restaurants but there is a great variety. The dessert table looks amazing but we were too full to consider it. Everything is craftfully made. One member of our party uses a walker. The restaurant was an easy in & out, seating was not an issue. Service was also excellent! Attentive but not pushy. Very welcoming & he knows the menu. Prices are very reasonable, especially considering the sizable portions. Go enjoy!!

This was our first time eating here. We had table side guacamole, chicken fajitas, and chicken nachos. The service was excellent. There were few gluten-free options listed. However they were very thoughtful and thorough in their explanations on what they had, even taking a picture of the ingredients on a sauce. We will be back!

Among one of my favorite more upscale commercial restaurants. It's a great place for small intimate dates, or large gatherings. It's by far one of the most flexible dining experiences you can ask for. Not to mention gluten friendly choiices and drinks the size of small aquariums. (And they have to-go drink caddies 🤯!) They're also not super strict on dress code, and have more budget friendly choices than I can describe! I absolutely love coming here. Final note is the staff; I have never had a bad experience. My orders are correct, the staff is friendly, and attentive. Further more, the general manager makes a point to check with the guests to make sure everything is to your liking. I can't express how much I love this place.
