We have been going to koku shi since they first opened in Kirkcaldy and have always felt welcomed. The staff are wonderful and the food is amazing. There have been some instances in the past where certain parts of the meal weren't the best and when I have brought this up, the staff have fixed the problem and that says a lot to me about how a place is run. We always feel so comfortable and it's honestly one of my favourite places to be. I feel very comfortable and safe in the restaurant which is very important to me. The only thing I will say is that if you are sensitive to sound for whatever reason and are going in the evening especially then it is better to visit Tuesday - Thursday or Sunday as the acoustics in the restaurant are very good. From the perspective of someone with dietary requirements also, they have a large breadth of options available so you'll definitely be able to find something you can eat (gluten and dairy free). If you haven't been to koku shi yet then I urge you to go as soon as you can. You won't regret it.

We had a beautiful meal with our family. Best meal out in a long time. We are x2 gluten free, we could eat almost everything from their menu and they can accommodate re gf bread/toasted roll, pasta & pizza.
We had prawns cocktail, pate then steak diana, came perfectly cooked, it tasted amazing.
