This place is not safe for food allergies and manager was extremely rude.
We Used to love this place and was a regular when it was cuff. When Flavors in the park took over the quality went down fast. owners/manager do not understand gluten free or food allergies. Case in point, they have a GF appetizer dip that came out flour tortilla pieces for dipping but were on the dip. When I brought it to the owner's attention and let them know I can't it due to my food allergy (severe wheat allergy) I was told I was being difficult even though he was very rude and was clueless about cross contamination/food allergies. Wait staff apologized, my wife and I left. We will not return; I miss cuff. It was nice to have a local restaurant/bar that was GF.
What an awesome experience with food allergies to gluten. Special thank you to Vance who was the most positive employee of Mod that I have encountered in several states. The cauliflower crust is delicious.
I'm celiac, they do have a GF menu, even GF drinks! (Like beer), you just need to tell the waiter you're celiac, and they will give you their options. They're really friendly, I completely recommend it!

Just had the four course meal option here with my wife and daughter for our 10 year anniversary. We had the pleasure of being cared for by Fernando tonight. It was absolutely incredible, my wife and 9 month old daughter absolutely enjoyed it. Wife has hashimotos disease and they were able to offer us so many options that were gluten free as well. 10/10! Hope to see you again soon Fernando!
My absolute favorite place for Italian food. Always great food! Somewhat pricey. Service is excellent. Classy waitresses, ours was Raleigh. She is knowledgeable about the menu and always has a great attitude! Gluten-free selections.
It is hard to find good quality food that is gluten free when you have Celiac and Dermatitis Herpetiformis (the skin celiac). Barrio queen has a lot of gluten free options. I've had the tacos before and they were okay but tonight I tried The Queen Enchiladas with chicken, black beans, and rice and it was by far the best enchilada I've ever had!! I highly recommend it. My mother-in-law got the same thing with the beans and veggies and wasn't as impressed with it as I was, though. She is more a tamale person but they had run out of tamales. I would definitely recommend this place. The chips and salsa are also gluten free. The chips are corn and fried in a separate fryer than the other food, which is awesome. The chips are extremely well done and I couldn't stop eating them.
The food was delicious with surprisingly large portions. My wife was able to find some gluten free options that were equally satisfying. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We came just before the dinner rush so we were able to sit immediately. I really enjoyed the architectural design elements that gave the interior more character and ambience.
The food options available is good for those who require vegan or GF items; but in general the food is just OK. Some of the food is really bland but then other items are spiced too strong, e.g. too many pickled onions and jalapenos in a salad. If avoiding gluten, getting the rice option instead of pita can be disappointing since the rice is often hard because it is undercooked. Also, the falafel which should be crispy or crunchy was actually hard on the outside. The baba ganoush, hummus, and some of the other starters/tapas are good as are the gyro and lavash pizza (when there aren't too many jalapenos overpowering the other ingredients). Nice place but be discerning on which items to order.
WOW! This place is amazing! Clean, great vibes, family friendly, fantastic service, and great food!
I didn't know why it's so hard to find a good burger on the west side, but this is our new go-to!
We ordered the Depression burger and Western burger. Both were amazing! Great patty size! We also had the pretzels and cheese, tater tots, and fries which were all done to perfection!
I ordered the Big Blue Van on tap, yum! I can't wait to come back to have their sangria and frozen margarita flight!!
Happy hour is 3 to 7pm.
I ordered my burger dairy free, which they easily accommodate. They also offer gluten free buns!
Literally could not wish for a better place to chill, get some great food, and a nice cold drink!
Kari was our server during our first visit, and she made the experience exceptional. She was attentive and knowledgeable about accommodating our food allergy, going above and beyond to ensure a great dining experience. We enjoyed a gluten-free burger, the poke tuna stack, chicken wings, and finished with ice cream. The food was fresh and delicious. We’ll definitely be back!
Our waitress was the sweetest person on earth. It was a little chaotic and the restaurant because it was Christmas Eve day. They were closing early. We weren't there anywhere near closing but there was a lot of catering going out the door. They were kind of surprised when someone came in to actually sit down and eat. We've never eaten there before, but the food was delicious. And like I mentioned before, we had the world's sweetest waitress. I would recommend it to anybody. You need to try it at least once. They're very nice people. I have a gluten allergy and they have some nice choices for gluten-free food and I'm very sensitive and had absolutely no reaction. The rest of my crew are glutin eaters and they loved everything
I have like the burgers Culver's for a while. Earlier this year their soda machine switched to Coca-Cola. Compared to circle k, it's more soda than syrup but not as see through as five guys. I bring my own Pepsi. Great tasting food. Oh! One of the few places with gluten free buns.
Nice place I had one of the best Cobb salads I've ever had I'm gluten sensitive so they did say they were accommodating even though they had no gluten-free bread or buns.
Barro's is always a favorite lunch spot for teachers during summer meeting times. Food is always pretty good and service is good as well. I wish there were more gluten free options for lunch.
The gluten free pizza is actually very good. The crust is better than most and the toppings are generous. We always get excellent service at this location and I like how helpful everyone is.
Food is kinda pricey for what you get. For example you get 6 asparagus for $12.95. We ordered a burger without cheese and it was covered in cheese. They remade the burger but didn’t apologize and it was quite the hassle to have to go back to get it. I got the hamburger fries gluten free and now my stomach hurts. I’m not sure if it is because of gluten exposure or not yet
I really enjoyed the food and the staff was fast and friendly. My wife, who is gluten free was able to find things she could eat and I liked the healthier style of Mexican food. The prices were reasonable too.
Fast but tasty food, good and pleasant service, the food is clean, the chips are excellent, for those who don't eat gluten, they wrap the hamburger in lettuce, fast and cheap
Great Carne Asada Quesadilla, it's made with Mazeca which is Corn Flour, so naturally gluten free 😋 I have celiac disease so makes it hard to find places to eat but I don't get sick when I eat this particular meal. It's a huge portion of food, so very shareable, and their Esquimo de chocolate(Chocolate Shake)are bomb! I will be back again soon for more! Yes, they have a kids menu and real fruit drinks. The Agua de Melon is bomb, and of course, Mexican Coca-Cola is available 😀 enjoy.
This was our first time here. Staff was awesome, especially the son who made sure he went out of his way to help me with my big order to the car. It was very expensive and our order was not right. One of our pizza was supposed to be a whole pepperoni but we got a half pepperoni half cheese some how. The reason I gave high ratings was because the service was great, food was yummy and my son who has Celiac Disease loved the gluten-free pizza! Love that it's a family owned restaurant as well!
You no longer carry gluten free English muffins so therefore I can’t have it with my omelette or order a hamburger with it in place of the regular. This used to be our go to restaurant but we won’t be returning. IHOP has gluten free pancakes at least. Dennys now has nothing. We won’t be back
