A day drive led us to Bathurst. A quick search for dog friendly cafe came up with Piccolo on William, in the middle of Bathurst.
We were met by friendly staff, and seeing we had a 4 legged friend, they brought out a bowl of water for the dog.
The service was friendly and helpful. Food was really nice with a good selection to choose from.
Gluten free options of food/cakes also available.
The bathroom amenities were also super clean and fresh.
Absolutely gorgeous and very caring staff on duty 28/3.
Great gluten free options.
Chicken and bacon gf pie probably the best gf pie I’ve ever had. Also had gf caramel slice and a great old fashioned iced coffee.
Didn’t take a pic because I scoffed it! ❤️
Our 'go to' pizza bar in Bathurst. Cosy atmosphere..loads of seating, including near fire places, booths, and bar tables. Inside seating and outside with a resident possum family !! Pizza is brilliant, and as I prefer gluten-free, I always have these bases, and they are top-notch. Drinks ....great selection including local made gins. Popular place do bookings recommended via their website especially on Fri and Sat nights.
Great service and friendly staff. Kitchen is great with diet needs eg Dairy or gluten free. They are happy to be pleasant and personal even with a difficult dietary restrictions order and an event on outside. The accommodation is pleasant and the amenities clean and attractive. The shower was terriffic by I might have been biased having had camp showers for the last 2 weeks! All in all a great experience
Great modern cafe sits among gorgeous greenery right in the heart of town.
FOOD: Great selection of meat, vegetarian and vegan meals, think sandwiches, burgers, salads, nourishing green bowls, big breakfasts, great freshly made desserts etc. They have plenty of nut free, gluten free and dairy options.
STAFF: Super friendly, efficient and coeliac/allergy aware. Given the COVID climate it's typical to expect slower service, less than ideal staff training etc and this cafe was an absolute exception! Staff were 10/10! The coffee was really well made: I even took a pic of the main barista, he knows what he's doing!
LOCATION: Ample parking on the street.
AMBIENCE: Warm brick cottage with gorgeous garden and greenery you can sit outside under and enjoy your meal at.
ACCESSIBILITY: Great accessibility for those with wheelchairs/walkers and well suited to those wanting to sit outside with prams etc. Hint: Book ahead as they fill up!
OVERALL: Loved everything about this place and so thankful to Richard for introducing it to us.
Our third time there over 12 month period and once again outstanding.
Staff remember us which is a fantastic hospitality touch, they really make you feel welcome.
Although not an option to highlight on review, the fish burger is awesome as a GF option.
Food is outstanding and fantastic local boutique beers.
They know and understand coeliacs and my wife loves their burgers, buns are fresh and beautifully toasted.
Fabulous place even had a gluten-free, vegan, and regular menu. Was given all 3 when I said I was a coeliac, and I was assured my food would not be cross contaminated. Gluten free food was Fabulous and filling, lactose free coffee amazing
Food was excellent, some of the best Mexican I’ve had!! Staff were friendly and so helpful navigating the menu for a celiac. The wonderful waitstaff assured me they would pass along my dietary requirements to the kitchen making me feel very safe. 10/10 would come back. Only 4 stars for atmosphere due to mozzies.
Well this place is a little hidden gem smack in the heart of Bathurst. We ordered the gluten free chicken and avo grill. Well got to say it was the biggest piece of gf bread I've ever seen and locally baked. The chef came out and explained this to us . Chicken schnitzel sandwich was also amazing. Great team and kitchen. If your in Bathurst try the venue Cafe you won't be disappointed.
First time dining, was very impressive, the decor was beautiful, good choice especially for gluten free as I am. The only thing needed was a bit more attention to hygiene as we were given cutlery for birthday cake not in servettes and handled with bare hand's from out if a apron.
This was the 1st that we have visited Mamma Mio and let me tell you it certainly won’t be our last!
The staff are so friendly, attentive and happy and all get on with each other.
This is nice to see.
We had gluten free boscaiola, gluten free prosciutto and fungi pizza and an Italian salad, all were delicious.
They are BYO and have an extremely cheap corkage, $3 per head and the glassware is also really nice to drink from.
To the team, we can’t wait to come back, you made our dinner, thank you 😊
