Group of 6. 1st they gave us a table, a while later they moved us to another table. It took a long time to take the order (the table next to us arrived and left while we were still waiting). When they took the order they delivered half of it, they forgot the other half (which took long to arrive, everyone else finished their food by then). One person is coeliac and advised about the food requirements to the waitress. She confirmed 3 times the ordered food was 100% gluten free. That person got sick 10 mins after leaving the place. Very bad experience.

This restaurant has been in Brighton for as long as I can remember.
This was my first visit. I had dinner with a friend.
The staff were nice... One was a bit strange. The restaurant has a good atmosphere.
The food... hmm... I really didn't enjoy my pasta. The gluten-free pasta was awful. It tasted strange. Unfortunately, the flavour of the pasta really ruined the dish.
I don't like giving reviews like that, but unfortunately, it wasn't a great experience.

As a general rule if I have an unpleasant experience at a restaurant I don’t leave a review as I know times have been hard but today I am particularly annoyed so will break my rule. I required a gluten free meal so I ordered the fish and chips which was showing a gluten free option. The fish arrived grilled instead of battered and had chips and salad. The waiter specifically mentioned that the fish was gluten free but then I thought I should check the chips. I was advised that the potatoes were gluten free but were cooked in oil where gluten containing food was cooked- that means IT IS NOT GLUTEN FREE. So the chips were removed and I yet I still had to pay for a full meal even though I left hungry. How difficult is it to provide a replacement? Do better people or simply don’t offer the option. On the plus side the fish was nice and the salad fresh but I will not be returning.
