Second time I have eaten here and will definitely be back soon. Great choice of vegan & gluten free dishes which were delicious. Staff are amazing and were very helpful. The surrounding area is great for walking off all those calories.

They have plethora options in breakfasts, lunches, and cakes, as well as deli items to takeaway. They also have a selection of vegan and gluten-free options. If you're looking for a delicious and satisfying meal in Gisburn, the Delicious Deli and Cafe is a great option.

Perfect pub setting. A wonderful selection of food that’s only surpassed by the quality of the food itself. The first time we’d visited and now we realise why it’s so hard to book a table - the secret is out and everyone wants to be here! Brilliant service from the staff, perfect professionalism meant they didn’t interrupt our family time other than for the essentials. All 6 of us that ate had different choices off the menu and each enjoyed it immensely. Vegetarian options, gluten free choices - and some mega tasty meat dishes too. The pub deserve every success as they seem to be doing things the right way.

We visited for lunch. The food was amazing and they catered for gluten free really well. The service, however, was appalling. With the exception of one waitress, who was very friendly and polite, the other waitresses in this establishment are very rude, unwelcoming, sullen and unhelpful, including the barrista behind the counter. None of them appear to be able to get a drink order right and the service was extremely slow. One dark haired, bespeckled waitress was particularly obnoxious and really should have a rethink about whether this type of job, where she has to deal with the public, is too much for her. Very disappointing. We won't be going again because of them, which is a pity as the food was excellent.

The food was superb, great menu, good atmosphere, and fantastic service. My youngest son has Coeliac Disease and they kindly prepared him a safe, gluten-free meal (battered chicken goujons, chips & peas) that he subsequently devoured with a smile. Everyone enjoyed their food and the prices are very reasonable. Thank you.

Had a fantastic meal at the Eagle never disappoints on all counts. I'm coeliac and mentioned this when I booked. There was a gluten free menu already waiting when we were shown to our table. Can't praise this restaurant enough

I took my mother out for a trip to the village where she was born, in near-by Bolton by Bowland. Unfortunately the pub there was closed. Found this place on the way back. We were greeted by a friendly, polite server who explained simply how to order and on hearing about the need for gluten free food, clearly explained every option on the menu that could be served gluten free. I have a feeling she knew about it very well. I think here name was, Rebecca(?) The food was well prepared and delicious, well worth the price paid. I had a vegetable red Thai curry, very spicy but complemented well with the rice. and my mother had the Caesars salad with chicken. She mentioned that she got a lot of chicken that was more than expected. If I am ever in the area again, I would definitely go back even though it is a little out of the way.

My good friend first brought Bowland Beer Hall to my attention. He described a magical place where scores of beers were on offer, and where the home brews from Bowland Brewery were mostly gluten free. So, after delivering a wedding cake nearby, and with the family all off to the cinema, I carved out a bit of me time and headed over to Clitheroe to see what the fuss was all about. And any fuss you might hear about this taproom (taphall? tapmill?) is justified. As well as a strong line up of Bowland's own beer at the prow of the 105ft long bar, there is literally something for every taste available. They keep their Untappd beer list bang up to date so if you're ever considering a trip you can even plan ahead. Now, normally on these visits I keep strictly to the brewery's own beer, but having tried plenty of Bowland's beers elsewhere (and enjoying them, mind) I plumped for just one of theirs (Bowland Best) and one from Two by Two Brewing (Azacca Mosaic) whose beer I will always have when I can get my hands on it. Enough about beer though. The location itself is worth the visit even if you hate the stuff. Situated in a former cotton mill, the beer hall retains many of the original features and machinery, with all the fixtures and fittings of the bar and restaurant made tastefully in keeping with the surroundings. Along with the food hall and hotel, the beer hall at Holmes Mill is clearly a huge draw. I was there on Saturday and the place was packed - a little too busy for a solo outing, but I found myself a snug corner and shut myself off from the world well enough. With that in mind, I think next time I'll take my wife and make an afternoon of it!

A separate vegan menu was a delight to find.. The food was hot, fresh and fast with not a single fake meat dish in sight which was a pleasure. The chef had taken pains to ensure a vegan and Gluten free menu is available separately, rather than adding icons to the main menu. This shows care and consideration and I highly recommend this establishment.

For a party of 40 to get served and pleased as we were is no mean feat. It was Boxing Day and another 50 or more we downstairs in various party sizes. Starters and Sweets were all just the right size - and of a good quality - to bookend modest-sized but well-presented, tasty and well-ccoked mains. The 3 Coeliacs were looked after appropriately and felt like it was BAU to the team - not the faff many places make it! Fact is: they could have sold us quite a few (a lot) more drinks, if the staff had been tasked to such a table service. To be fair, they didn't know how much the Starkie family like to drink. Being as we've booked in for next year, on the strength of this time, maybe they will remember.....
