Very good, coeliac UK approved menu. Went for breakfast twice over a weekend, the food was lovely.
Slightly small portions and a little expensive but well worth it for the safety aspect as a coeliac.
Once again an amazing experience here delicious food as normal with a good portion size. The spicy margarita is absolutely delicious as well whatever is round the rim as a salt rim is perfect. 10/10 will be back again! Most of the menu is gluten free and they have a separate menu to order off of to save confusion, not many places i can eat as a coeliac and be carefree with the food.
Fantastic service and great food. Gluten free food was lovely. Thank you to our server Amelie for all your helpful recommendations and helping us with everything.
Made a booking of 24 and from start to finish Millworks were outstanding.
Thank you Sophie for all your help with pre-orders (which were simple and easy to make with their link).
Thank you chefs for the delicious food and accommodating our dietary requirements, including my own gluten free vegetarian diet. The food was OUTSTANDING and everyone commented how delicious their meals were. I absolutely loved the halloumi fries, pea soup (with gluten free bread, warmed!), and chocolate delice was the most gorgeous dessert I've had in a very long time. Amazing value for the quality of food - and it all arrived in timely fashion.
Thank you to the waiters and staff who served us, making sure we had enough water, serving us altogether, and sorting our payments promptly when we had to leave to our afternoon activities.
Can't thank Millworks enough for a seamless experience with amazing food and friendly staff. Will absolutely be back again!!
First experience of Columbian food, made me want to book a flight there immediately. Epic empanada, both gluten free and dairy free. Absolutely delicious!
Although it specialises in steak, the menu has choices for those who prefer other main courses. Menus marked with vegan and gluten-free items. Dining in ancient cellars, with air-conditioning.
Charming little cafe with delightful staff who remember their regulars. Really good gluten free options, good knowledge of allergen safety. Also has vegan options. Great for toasted sandwiches, coffee, slice/cake and soups. My favourite cafe in Cambridge.
Food was amazing! They had gluten free and vegetarian options.
We got a table on the balcony looking over the canal and it was just gorgeous
Staff were so so lovely
Mocktail was the best I’d ever had
Busy, friendly cafe off the main avenues of central Cambridge. Seating is downstairs, upstairs and outside across the road! Order excellent coffee at the till and get a table number stand for your drinks to be served to you. Superb gluten free brownies and cakes, helpfu,l friendly staff. Also does takeaway drinks in standard sizes, none of that Venti, Grande sizing, just a mug full of excellent tasting coffee and if you want more, order two!!
Stopped here for the first time today. Food was delicious and they had several gluten free options on cakes as well as GF bread for a lovely toastie. Sweet potato, chestnut and cheese pie was really nice.
Really not sure what's happened to the breakfasts since my last visit in March? The service and beverages are still very good, but, just bear with me to understand the cognitive dissonance I felt: Mid June - We were each presented with two slices of processed dry toast with two split sausages on one plate and two tiny badly presented poached eggs on the other. Each plate cost £7.25. With the sausages - two catering sachets of mustard (containing wheat) and with the eggs two catering sachets of butter. Given we'd asked for gluten free, the mustard was an oversight. Early March - We had pulled pork belly with hollandaise sauce, generous poached egg and wholegrain mustard with herb garnish on a soft centred lightly toasted muffin - sublime and all gluten free for a tenner. I posted this amazing brunch to my GroupChat - and left a recommendation of Hot Numbers with my guest house. All I can imagine has happened is an economy drive, but, I would be happy to pay more for something that special!! I suggest the owners watch The Bear on Disney Plus to see how transformative for everyone a great chef and good food can make a place feel.
In the kitchen's artistry, flavors unfold,
A delicious symphony, tales to be told.
Limited gluten-free, yet a feast to savor,
Each dish crafted with love and flavor.
Honesty gleams in the staff's keen eye,
Rectifying bills without a sigh.
In their truth, a rare gem shines,
A culinary haven where joy entwines.
One of my favorite places in Cambridge. Great coffee, food, and the best service around. Made Cambridge feel like home. Safe for my celiac disease (gluten free options)
I was very lucky to visit this pizzeria recently. It has beautiful decor, a good menu and brilliant service. I am a gluten-free person, and at that time there were no gluten-free countertops. I was offered another wonderful meal instead! Among other things, wonderful eggplant! I would like to praise the man with the earring who made sure that I left the place satisfied, he has great contact with the customer and is patient with Polish women. I'm asking for a raise for him! :D
Came in Friday evening for a date, the bartender Chelsi was extremely helpful regarding my gluten allergy. Will be back as her service was just amazing.
Quick service, wonderful options for breakfast & they accommodate gluten free folks very well. Super cute spot in Cambridge & good for a group who wants to go out for brunch ☺️
Great cafe, and I go for weekend breakfast often while in Cambridge. This cafe is good for meal value and has especially excellent service. I like the small cafe atmosphere and thankful for a number of gluten free options.
First time here & very enjoyable.
Food was perfect lovely to taste & hot.
Also very accommodating to add & take away to a gluten free dish.
Staff very friendly
The food is good and locally grown, which I really appreciated :). The service was nice, efficient, welcoming.
I really appreciated the fact that there was no ambiance music, it allowed me to have a quietish lunch. Thank you!
The surroundings are lovely and give a peaceful atmosphere.
I had a soup which was very hot (as a soup should be 👍!), which I really liked. The quiche on the other hand, although very good itself, was a bit small. I wish it had been a bit bigger. The side salad had a vinegar dressing which was very lovely. The salad was a generous portion.
Great selection of hot drinks! My chaï latte was very enjoyable. You can change the milk as well.
The drinks and foods are reasonably priced :). Gluten free items available too!
There is a water fountain to refill your reusable water bottle; this is great :).
You get a 10% discount if you present the leaflet of the visit of Great St Mary's tower 😉.
Good view, bad mushrooms
View: great (of King's College).
Cappuccino: strong, hot, foamy.
I had the veggie breakfast with gluten free toast.
Existence of gluten free toast: Thumbs up.
But:
Mushrooms inedible; tasteless, tepid and out of a tin.
Tomato: watery and cold.
Scrambled eggs: OK.
Baked beans: a lot, in a separate dish, jist the right temperature.
Avocado: pre-crushed.
The mushrooms and tomato very disappointing for the price.
Went for the afternoon tea with the whole family and definitely recommend. They really enjoyed their meal and my gluten free options were really tasty as well. The scones where also really good 👍
A good option for someone gluten free, you will not be disappointed.
The setting is absolutely stunning, right on the river. The service wasn't great - took a while to take our order and was hard to get the attention of staff for another round of drinks or the bill. The biggest issue was the lack of gluten free options. Staff helpfully brought out a matrix of allergies info but, for example, the steak came with chips but the chips weren't gluten free as they're cooked in the same fryer as other foods with gluten in. So, we asked if there was another option to swap the chips for maybe boiled potatoes or some other veg. We were just given the option of ordering a side salad meaning the steak alone would cost £36 with no alternative for the chips. Generally we found gf options were few and staff didn't seem overly accommodating which is often our experience at 'nicer' restaurants compared to village pubs. Had we not been with friends, we would have left and found somewhere else. Would return for drinks but not for food.

We had a brilliant lunch here over the weekend. The staff were friendly and it had a nice cozy atmosphere. The food was excellent. My wife is gluten intolerant and vegetarian and they had options for her. The wine selection was very good too
The wine was excellent, the food matched. They accommodate gluten free with most of the dishes being able to be adapted. I will definitely be going back 😁
Surrounded by a plethora of fast food junk establishments stands an icon of hope and joy,
the Market House. Service and cooking is to an excellent standard; Both dishes I had were showcasing fresh, high-quality ingredients and thoughtful flavour combinations.
The Pinney's Hot Smoked Scottish Salmon was a standout. The salmon itself was perfectly smoked, with a delicate balance of smoky flavour and moist texture. The smoked buttermilk cream added a luxurious richness that complemented the salmon beautifully, while the cauliflower provided a subtle earthiness and textural contrast. The herbed cracker added a satisfying crunch and a burst of fresh herbs.
The main course ; Whole Baked Lemon Sole was another winner. The sole was cooked to perfection, with flaky, tender flesh and a delicate lemony flavor. The celeriac fondant was a revelation, offering a creamy, melt-in-your-mouth texture and a subtle sweetness that paired perfectly with the fish. The roasted fennel added a touch of anise flavor and a satisfying bite, while the kosho pear provided a unique and exciting twist with its spicy, fruity notes. The dish was also gluten-free, which is a bonus for those with dietary restrictions
Overall, both dishes were expertly prepared and presented, demonstrating a clear passion for quality ingredients and culinary creativity.
For food lovers hope shines eternal at the Market House
What an amazing place! The food was so great, I m always looking for the best lasagne and I definitely found it there! They made me a delicious gluten free pasta as well. We had tiramisu for dessert and it was so nice, proper authentic, Italian food! The service was excellent and everyone was so friendly! So happy to find that place :)
Lovely location. But food was very disappointing - bread for sandwiches was so dry and hard, halloumi fries over cooked. Girl at bar needed reminding that one meal was for coeliac. Staff lacked any kind of personality or even a smile. Was expecting it to be much nicer than it was.
The food is very high quality and authentic Thai flavours. We had crispy tofu, papaya salad, green Thai and Massaman curries. What stood out as outstanding though was the care and attention from staff to make sure that we found some good vegan and gluten free choices. Thanks for all your help and patience!
Love this pub! Is my favourite pub go to in Cambridge. Staff so friendly and helpful. Bonus for me because they always have my gluten free beer in.
Great food, great atmosphere. On my way there now 😊
