The staff were really helpful and accommodating, and brilliant at interacting with us including my toddler.
It was a lovely place for a celebratory family meal. Food was lovely and incredibly generous portions. They also easily accommodate allergies with a number of dishes suitable for gluten free.

Augustus is tucked away in a little side street but well worth tracking down. The menu is of classic French style with little modern twists. My wife and l ate here they had no problem dealing with my wife coeliac disease GF. We were looked after by Cedric, Henry and Erin all very knowledgeable and professional nothing to much trouble. We had Asparagus with a crispy soft egg followed by crown of pigeon my wife had faggots. All were beautifully prepared and cooked to perfection, all in all if you’re in Taunton do hunt it out you won’t regret it.
