I recently had the pleasure of eating at The New Deli with my cousin and let me tell you: we'll be back with more of the family soon! Located in Pinole this place has been serving the community for over 37 years, and it's clear why it's a local favorite. My cousin ordered the Meatball Sub while I indulged in Pasta Carbonara. Both dishes were fantastic. Despite being busy, the service was quick and efficient—we didn't have to wait long for our orders at all. It's great to see a place that takes pride in using so many natural ingredients. From homemade soups and dressings made with 100% olive oil to their all-natural chicken and beef, it's clear that quality is a top priority. For the health-conscious or those with dietary restrictions, The New Deli also offers an array of vegan, gluten-free, and non-dairy options. It's this attention to detail and their expansive menu—from Turkey Muenster Melts to Vege-Burgers—that keeps folks coming back for more. Gets pretty busy but the food is always great for the money. I've been eating here for 20+ years and they're the best burgers (and fries) in California. There are vegetarian options and several non burger, non sandwich options, too. 2023 update: Now there are Gluten-free bread and bun options! Good for the intolerant but probably still a little risky for those allergic to wheat. But added to the extensive menu options, I'm grateful.
