One of the only organic cafes in town — and they have baked gluten free vegan donuts and muffins too! I love their soups and homemade gluten free bread as well. They also have fresh juices, smoothies, wraps, salads, sandwiches, and more.
Food and service was great and fast. I got the tikka masala with lamb, it was delicious. Also got the Manchurian and veg platter for appetizers, very good. Had a lot of gluten free and vegan options as well. Will be back!
Very helpful staff. Pizza is absolutely amazing! Ordered the Sicilian all meat and a gluten free all meat for my celiac wife and son. They were very helpful in explaining what was gf and what wasn’t. We will be ordering here every time we visit the area going forward.
Can I give 6 stars for service? Pavlin took great care of my girlfriend and I.
The food was excellent, nutritious, and all gluten free.
Expect to spend about $24 a plate after tax.
Siam Sushi is so delicious! I absolutely love the Pad Thai. They have several gluten-free options, Just ask your server! Everyone that I've brought here has always loved it! Rumor is the sushi is great! I am not of fan sushi. However, my Sushi loving friends will order many rolls. They have so many choices, too.
We visit Longboat Key annually, and since LaNorma opened in 2019, it’s been a must-visit every trip. This year, we were lucky to stay for two weeks — and dined at LaNorma three times, including their incredible Wine Tasting experience on May 9.
Our first meal was with my wife and mother: Salmon Piccata, Rigatoni with Meatballs, Arancini, and a Mediterraneo Salad — every dish was outstanding. Gustavo’s service made the evening even better.
The second visit was a family dinner with seven of us. The Veal Saltimbocca stole the show — truly unforgettable. Everyone loved their meals, and Tatiana provided flawless service. It was a perfect night.
The following day, my wife and I attended the Wine Tasting event. We’ve done wine experiences in Italy, including Tuscany, and this easily matched some of the best. Sommelier Riccardo brought the wines of Piedmont (Nebbiolo, Barbera, Barbaresco, and Barolo) to life with rich stories and expert insight. The four-course lunch (plus dessert) was paired beautifully with the wines, and they thoughtfully accommodated my wife’s gluten-free needs. Yulia’s attentive service and the warm presence of Daniela and Giuseppe made the experience truly memorable.
Final thoughts? LaNorma has always been a favorite, but this trip confirmed it's better than ever. The food is sublime — if I had to choose a last meal, it’d be the Veal Saltimbocca. The wine list has improved, and the welcoming atmosphere makes every visit feel like coming home. Congratulations to the entire LaNorma team for creating something truly exceptional on beautiful Longboat Key. We can’t wait to return.
Very good cup of coffee and gluten-free cakes! Service here was wonderful. We enjoyed getting our breakfast and walking over to the pier to sit, but there was also seating right outside of this place. I was also really happy with the store which had reasonably priced items that came in handy (like slippers...didn't think to bring any, but the hard, cold floors in the place we stayed made it a very worthwhile purchase).
Forget the boring old ice cream shops with their fluorescent lights and plastic spoons. Sip and Scoop is like a flavor explosion sprinkled with grown-up fun! Here's why you gotta scoop in:
Ice Cream Nirvana: First things first, the ice cream. It's homemade, creamy, and comes in flavors that'll make your taste buds do a conga line. From classic chocolate chip to adventurous lavender honey, they've got something for every ice cream adventurer. Plus, their waffle cones are legendary - think crispy, golden perfection that holds its own against the meltiest masterpiece.
Booze and Scoops? Heck Yes!: But Sip and Scoop isn't just about the kiddie stuff (although they have plenty of that too!). They've got a killer selection of craft beers, wines, and even boozy milkshakes that turn your sundae into a happy hour celebration. Imagine swirling a scoop of salted caramel ice cream with a drizzle of bourbon caramel sauce, all while sipping a crisp IPA. Pure. Bliss.
Vibin' Vibes: The atmosphere is like a warm hug from your favorite aunt. Think fairy lights, comfy couches, and board games stacked high. It's perfect for a date night, a family outing, or just hanging with friends. Plus, the staff is like a walking ray of sunshine, always ready to recommend the perfect flavor combo or pour you another pint.
Sweet Extras: They don't stop at just ice cream! Sip and Scoop has got all the fixings: hot fudge that'll make your heart sing, mountains of whipped cream, sprinkles galore, and even homemade cookies that are begging to be dunked. They even have vegan and gluten-free options, so nobody gets left out of the ice cream party.
The Verdict: Sip and Scoop is more than just an ice cream shop, it's an experience. It's a place where laughter floats on the air, spoons tap happily against bowls, and your worries melt away faster than a scoop of butter pecan on a hot day. So grab your friends, your sweet tooth, and get ready to scoop up some happiness!
P.S. Don't forget to check out their ice cream challenges (if you dare!) and their ever-changing seasonal flavors. You might just discover your new ice cream soulmate.
I usually love this place as a local who is gluten sensitive because they make a great gf pizza, but I recently went and received a pizza that looked different than what I am used to. To make sure it was gluten free, I asked one of the workers and they glanced at my pizza and confirmed it was made gluten free. So naturally I ate 3/4 slices. Lo and behold a couple hours later I react how I usually do if I eat gluten. Moral of the story…beware if you are someone with a food allergy and be prepared to risk a reaction at Bud and Alleys.
I don’t find they have many options. The only thing they have is gluten free French toast but it’s not dairy free. We can’t eat eggs dairy or gluten so this place just doesn’t accommodate well.
We came in at the last minute before they were about to close, everyone was very nice and attentive, specially our server Sebastian. Pizzas were great! They offer gluten free pizza and pasta, we loved it.
We came here twice during our stay in 30A. Lunch and dinner were both amazing. The views are so pretty. Snapper was great, crab cakes were delicious and their Montgomery potato casserole side was phenomenal! Waiter was on top of it, and we loved the gluten free options.
I switched back to vegetarianism this year and Persis is the healthiest, freshest option in town. They have a low oil content and I feel full without my body holding onto grease and gluten. The pounds are melting off, my skin on clear, and I feel alive. Thank you.
I've only had delivery via grubhub. With celiac disease it is hard to find items without gluten. They have wonderful rice paper rolls. I could see this really expanding to have vegetarian options or to do pizza rolls with the rice paper. I've tried the chicken fried rice, chicken skewers, and the chicken rolls. I'll have to check it out in person to see what vegetarian and gluten free options they have.
BExcellent place to taste Mexican food, delicious tacos, excellent customer service. Fast and clean. Excellent place to taste Mexican food, delicious tacos, excellent customer service. Fast and clean. Gluten Free Option.
