We love Firebirds. I have a wheat allergy, and there is a diverse gluten-free menu as well as a knowledgeable kitchen staff to accommodate. It's always so awkward eating out with food allergies, because you don't want to seem high maintenance. Their menu with clear notations, and their kindness, make the whole experience enjoyable. The food is always so delicious and flavors are just, wow... Soooo good. My favorite part of Firebirds is the atmosphere and the pineapple martinis. The dimly lit ambiance makes for an elegant meal and is perfect for a date night. The service is always outstanding at Firebirds, and I mean OUTSTANDING. They find the best people for their team and train them so well. Thank you for many wonderful meals over the years (and our most recent server, Karissa, just fantastic and a ton of fun)
Very good menu, but I would like to see a few more gluten-free choices. Our waitress was perfect! The appetizer of hot chips wasn't what we expected and were a let down. Nice atmosphere inside and there's a patio for outside dining too. The prices are reasonable for good quality food. We've been several times and we'll go back!
Oh my word... If you are in the Niles, Ohio area and love Italian food, give Giorgio's a try.
I had the Chicken Siciliano with Gluten Free pasta and greens and a side salad. I also had a Peach Sangria. It was amazing. I highly recommend and will DEFINITELY eat here again. We went about 3:30 on Monday afternoon. Almost completely empty of people. Not busy at all.
Large selection of draught beers. Coors light is what I prefer in a domestic draught and Primanti Bros didn't disappoint. My wife had a large Angry Orchard, so it was nice they had a gluten free adult beverage available that wasn't hard liquor. I got the Big Bro version of the Pittsburger #2 on the menu. My wife got a sandwich as well which she enjoyed. Great atmosphere and even though our waitress was brand new, she did a great job. The food here is consistently excellent. We had a great time and then a nap!
UPDATE:
Food was considerably better I’m happy to say. They really go out of their way to make sure Gluten Free people have lots of choices. The waitress said they will make any sauce for the chicken or steak dishes with Gluten free pasta from scratch so they can make sure it’s gluten free and safe. The hubby had a fish dinner that was a big enough piece of fish that we brought 1/2 home. I wish I had remembered to take a pic of my grilled chicken with creamy Parmesan and garlic butter, portabella mushrooms & greens over GF penne. I’m definitely glad we tried it again. What an improvement!!
Was actually disappointed with the food for the 1st time. Caesar chicken salad was rather bland. Lacked dressing and chicken lacked moisture!
