Plan to share bites and experience odd and tasty flavor combinations. Even cooler is that they are included in the goodfoodfighter.com top 15 Austin restaurants and have a gluten-free menu. This was my second amazing meal at Uchi Austin! This time I brought even more people. For our visit to Austin, I put Uchi high on my must—dine list because the flavors were so memorable. Everything was delicious. Sour, umami, spicy, herbaceous, sweet-- they covered every note. We ordered a variety and took recommendations from our wonderful waiter (Armin? Armon? - I should have gotten the spelling). Two of us are gluten free, and two of us don’t even like seafood generally, and we still loved it. Most of the menu can be gluten free (get the ponzu sauce!). What a great memory.

A good spot for gluten free brunch! You can get any of the pancakes in gluten free or get the pancake flight like I did if you want to sample multiple flavors! I think there is a gluten free French toast as well. Definitely join the waitlist before you leave the house if it’s a weekend!
