Tried this for the first time. My partner has a gluten allergy and we heard good things about their pizza. The pizza was really good, but very pricey. They charge $4.50 extra for any gluten free items. We sat at the bar and got drinks, the drinks were not good. If you go here I would recommend sticking to the pizza.
A Safe Haven for Celiacs!❤️
I can't say enough good things about my experience at Stout's Pizza, and especially about the incredible service I received from Jared. As someone who struggles with anxiety in unfamiliar settings, Jared went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable in the restaurant. His kindness truly made a difference.
More importantly, I have Celiac disease and am extremely sensitive to gluten. It's unfortunately common for me to get sick even after ordering “gluten-free” elsewhere, due to cross-contamination. But not here. Jared took the time to personally explain their cleanliness protocols and gluten-free procedures in detail, which immediately gave me peace of mind. And best of all—I’ve *never* gotten sick after eating here.
It's rare to find a place that takes dietary restrictions this seriously, and even rarer to find someone like Jared who genuinely cares. Thank you so much, Stout's—and thank you, Jared—for giving me a safe, delicious option I can trust.
My wife is celiac and we love this place and they never contaminate her! The food is in great portions and is delicious. We have been 2 times now and will keep coming back! Oh also the shakes are amazing and they come with the BIG straw!
Update
1/10/25 Daniel was our server tonight and he was excellent in word and action. He was exceptionally polite and inviting. The food was great!
Peyton was the best waiter! He was attentive to several tables and kept everyone happy. He was personable and friendly. We enjoyed our evening celebrating our son's birthday. The food was delicious and came out quickly. Peyton paid attention to details and kept the drinks (root beer) flowing, and the table cleared of empty plates and glasses. We were pleased with the service.
The manager even offered to bring out samples of prime rib for my husband to choose which one he preferred. It was cooked to perfection and had great flavor. My gluten free burger and salad were delicious. The gluten free pazookie and ice cream were also yummy.
We were sat right away, then forgotten. We were passed by team members a dozen times before anyone asked if we were helped. The coffee was stale and thick. My healthey turkey barely had turkey and was full of onion peel! I had to pick out most of the onion because they sliced and grilled the SKIN! When I get this same dish at the location on I10 by Cycle Gear, it's so big, I have to take half home for later. Bonus, all the veggies are edible! This was not the case. Also, the ONLY Gluten-free option available, is GF toast. Even the oatmeal comes with a muffin? W/O GF option? The staff looked stressed and felt less than excited to be there. We won't be back.
Great restaurant, you walk in and personally I felt like I’d left San Antonio. So neatly decorated and the music is much better than a pretty well known Italian chain.
We ordered the antipasto for four, Lasagna, and Chicken Pesto Panini. While I personally didn’t try any of the glut-end fair the antipasto was good. There was a ham and a cheese that was placed that lift a little to be desired but it’s decided we will be back to try other items, such as any gluten free dishes.
Missing one star on atmosphere just because there were many free tables when we went but they all had dirty dishes on them. Not a huge problem though, I know how busy restaurants can get! I also was confused by the kimchi salad: I was expecting Korean/fermented kimchi and I don't think this was fermented. It seemed like it was cabbage doused in a sauce with red pepper flakes, served on top of lettuce? Besides it being different than what I expected, it was not yummy.
The rest of the atmosphere is pretty cool though, kinda a college student feel, very chill but not too quiet. The food was BOMB tonight, honestly. I've been here a couple other times but they seem to have improved quality-wise. This is also one of the few places in San Antonio that offers rice noodles for your ramen, i.e. a great gluten free option! There's a lot of other customizable things for the ramen and poke and other dishes. Seems like there's something for everyone here 😊
Loved the service!! Incredible!! We’ve never had crawfish before, and a manager came out and showed us how to eat it! They have a very clear to read gluten free, dairy free, and msg menu. Bravo for taking care of those of us with allergies 👏👏👏
Stopped in for date night a week or so ago with my fiancee and loved the atmosphere from the moment we walked in. We were joking and laughing amongst ourselves as we were ordering and the person making our pizzas was laughing with us and said they loved our vibe (honestly best complement I've gotten). Pizza is very good and extremely customizable which I love, and they were very respectful and changed gloves and cleaned the counter when I said I have a gluten allergy. The cauliflower crust is delicious and is a good size considering most gluten free pizzas I get are really small and I finish them usually in one sitting. We are adding this location to our date night rotation for sure!
Great spot for sit down dining at Sea World. The ribs and brisket platter was awesome- so juicy and delicious. They have many other options to include salads and sides, pork sandwiches, as well as tasty treats like cupcakes.
Adult beverages and soft drinks are available.
Gluten friendly and the staff was both knowledgeable and helpful in making sure there were no issues with cross contamination.
Ample indoor seating. Handicap accessible. Changing tables in both restrooms.
Reasonable prices for an amusement park. Friendly staff.
This chick-fil-a tried to kill me. I ordered a grilled chicken club with gluten free bun. I expressed I was allergic to wheat and the person checking me out read it back to me. I received a regular chicken club. I didn’t eat it, thank god because I would have gotten very sick. Never coming to this location again.
The manager made a guess at what had gluten in it or not. She didn't check anything for clarification on allergens. I had to get onto the company website to find out. The manager was wrong. I'm glad I checked. When I informed her what the truth was, the manager said, "I just go by what other customers tell me." What? That may result in someone seriously having an allergic reaction.
Been several times because their gluten free and blueberry muffins are really good. Give it 3 stars because more than once I received Luke warm coffee. Not sure if they know how to warm the milk but it never happens. I’ve since been to other places to get my coffee. Also wanted to mention lower the music. The whole ambiance of a coffee place should be not a club also coffee should be hot.
Im not a frequent eater of Mediterranean food, despite it being some of my favorite food. However I recently moved into the area with my family, and my mother was craving Mediterranean food and we remembered that this restaurant was nearby. So we entered in and were greeted by who I presume was the owner, who was incredibly kind and accommodating to my disabled mother and her gluten allergy. He helped us through the ordering process and made some great recommendations for what to eat. I had the Gyro Platter, and she had the Build Your Own Bowl with Gyro. Believe me when I say this is some of the best food I have ever eaten in my life. It was all incredible, the meat, the bread, the sauces, the rice, the salad even. Plus, the restrooms were clean, the staff was incredibly kind, the portions wer generous, and the atmosphere was wonderful! I highly recommend, and I will be returning in the near future!!!
