Very friendly, excellent food, riverside location. We went because of the gluten free options and weren't disappointed. Generous portions, nicely presented and polished off by us. Definitely recommend.
Excellent food and service. Beautiful view over the bay, lovely place to watch the sunset. Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of gluten free options and knowledgeable staff (as well as vegan and vegetarian). Dogs welcome inside and outside. Best Sunday lunch I’ve had in a long time, a really big portion and tasted lovely. Will 100% be coming back here next time I am in Pembrokeshire
The best ice cream I've ever tasted! Delicious! Will definitely return when we are back in the area!
Very friendly, helpful staff, lovely place!
Gluten free cones available to for any coeliacs! Highly recommend!
This hidden gem is located in the village of Johnston, and even though I am local I hadn’t gone in till I heard from word of mouth how good it was, and I wasn’t disappointed! I was greeted by friendly staff and my food arrived promptly and of a high quality and reasonably priced.
I definitely recommend the Hunters chicken and sticky toffee pudding, both of which are gluten free.
This little place needs to be celebrated, my family and I frequent there as much as possible, because of its positive attitude and atmosphere, but most of all the FOOD, with is tasty and beautifully presented! If you’re wanting to try something new, pop along, bring your family (there are toys and books for little ones), bring your dogs, and bring a healthy appetite! Great place!
Absolutely amazing pub. We are a family of 3 with multiple allergies and the chef was prepared to cater to our needs (including avoiding gluten cross contamination). It was the first time in years that I hadn't regretted spending money at a restaurant: it was amazingly delicious. The atmosphere is super cozy, family friendly and the staff is brilliant. I can't praise them enough. If you go there, you will not regret it and they definitely deserve your business.
We had a buffet afternoon tea for 40 people and Andrea and Gethin couldn't have been more accommodating, we had alsorts of dietary requirements including vegan and gluten free. All were catered for and the food was delicious and lots of variety. I had lots of compliments for choosing a venue with such fabulous food 😋
Ended up here one evening looking foe a pub serving gluten free options in their menu. The staff were very attentive about gluten free which was reassuring being a celiac person. The pub had a nice atmosphere.
Menu purports to provide Gluten Free options but there is no separation in the kitchen. For intolerance, it’s passable, but for coeliacs (not by choice), this place is a non starter.
We called in here for an evening meal after walking the coastal path here in Pembrokeshire. We were pleased to see that there were new owners here and what a difference they make! The landlord greeted us warmly, provided menus and invited us to sit wherever we liked. He was also very helpful when I explained I was gluten free, and made sure I was happy with my selection. We were a little wary as we'd found the meals in other pubs in the area to be sadly lacking, but we need not have worried. The food was excellent. Good quality, hot and tasty. The chips were especially good - homemade - not frozen. The prices are reasonable and we will definitely return. The landlord is really helpful and friendly as is his wife who served us our meals. I'd definitely recommend a visit if you're in the area - if only for the chips!
