Beautiful place!! The food was brilliant, vegetarian options and gluten free - the server also checked what was safe for coeliacs for my bf. The staff were all so friendly and polite. We took home a lovely gf cake too which was fab. The surroundings are lovely with a garden - it’s a must visit.
Parking is £5 but you get a £4 voucher back to spend in the cafe, so really it’s only £1.

We ended up at this restaurant by accident — we checked the menu and decided to give it a try. I'm allergic to many things, so I was really happy to find food I could eat, and they also had vegan options 🙏🏻
I ordered the Vegan Curry with wild rice and gluten-free pita. It was the BEST VEGAN CURRY I've ever had — perfectly spicy, the flavors were beautifully balanced, and the texture was AMAZING. Absolutely delicious.
I wanted to order the Vegan Curry to go, but unfortunately, they didn’t have any takeout containers 😟
The next dish was a large salad bowl with grilled chicken. It had cabbage in it (my husband said it was delicious, but I don’t eat cabbage). The salad was simple but tasty — I enjoy simplicity on a plate. The chicken was a bit dry and slightly too salty. But overall, I was really happy with my dish — it pleasantly surprised me and tasted great.
My husband ordered a soup, which was supposed to be with leek and parmesan, but it turned out to be broccoli cream soup instead. It came with a bread roll and he really enjoyed it.
For his main dish, he ordered stewed beef in some kind of sauce with potatoes. The beef pulled apart perfectly — it was super tender, soft in flavor, and not starchy at all. My husband eats a lot of beef and really knows when it's done well vs. when it’s tough — and this one was EXCELLENT. The potatoes had horseradish which added a great touch, and together with the rest of the dish, it was a true taste sensation.
The only downside: they served margarine instead of butter.
MARGARINE IS UNHEALTHY — it should be real butter.
Overall, we highly recommend this place. I left satisfied, full, and without any allergic reaction. Everything was fresh, well-prepared, not burnt, and not greasy.
Fantastic food — we hope they never change the quality.
The ladies behind the bar could be a little friendlier.
The young man delivering the food was very nice.
The interior has a traditional English style.
WE RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR THE FOOD – TOTALLY WORTH IT.

This place has definitely improved from a couple of years ago. The staff were very good and attentive. The food was tasty and it says on the menu what the gluten free options are. The nachos, meatballs and patatas bravas were good. However, the plates you are given to eat from are tiny! Like a saucer! So you can't really mix up the food, have to just eat one little thing at a time. It was very noisy upstairs though and it wasn't full. Had to shout to have a conversation with the person next to me. It does end up being quite expensive as it is recommended you have 2-3 dishes per person.

Called in while in Keswick yesterday - 25th June '25. Hubby is gluten intolerant, we had been to Brysons across the road but they had nothing GF so spotted, and went over to Relish opposite. Glad we did. The coffee was just how we asked for it and our ham and cheese sandwiches were excellent - ham, cheese, salad and mayo on the freshest softest bun. Even hubby said his bun was excellent, which for GF buns is a compliment he very rarely uses. We sat outside as it was a nice day, there are tables inside if the weather is inclement. Staff were friendly and very accommodating regarding the GF request. Lovely little clean cafe in a great spot, we would recommend visiting this Relish to anyone.
Tasty gluten-free cakes and a lovely, cozy atmosphere make this cafe a standout choice for those seeking gluten-free options. The spacious setting with big windows overlooking lush greenery and a serene lake enhances the relaxing experience, perfectly complementing the very nice coffee served without overboiled milk. This welcoming spot thoughtfully caters to diverse tastes while providing a peaceful ambiance.
