Just had a lovely lunch. Good choice of menu for gluten free and vegetarian dietary needs. Attentive staff and lovely chilled out atmosphere. Not fast food but excellent when it arrives. Well behaved dogs welcome which was a bonus for us. Highly recommended.
Excellent choice of food, from cooked breakfasts, burgers, toasties and jacket potatoes (served most of the day) to sandwiches, salads, and cakes, with local specialities and national favourites, as well as good coffees, teas and all sorts of other drinks. They have a separate gluten-free menu, including the full English breakfasts, and a good selection of GF cakes. You can even choose white or brown GF bread! Dog- and walker- friendly, and they have crafting activities and pottery-painting in the building next door if you fancy doing something indoors.
The only slight annoyance is other users who drag their chairs across the tiled floors!
Fabulous Gluten Free food.
I was invited to a party but due to my wheat allergy, I was worried about what food would be served. I rang a couple of days ago and spoke to Dave and my mind was immediately put at rest. He explained that the Fern sharing platters which had been ordered were mainly gf, that they use gf breadcrumbs and that their fryers were gf safe. He was really knowledgeable and told me to introduce myself when I get to the restaurant.
When I went this afternoon, I introduced myself and he reiterated what he told.me over the phone. It turned out that there was another girl who was coeliac, so we sat together. When I explained that I was worried about cross contamination as the main had a couple of gluten containing dishes, he made sure that we had separate mains so that we didn't need to worry. I was really impressed with the knowledge, service as well as the delicious food. I'm guessing that no one guessed that most of it was gf.
Thank you for a lovely afternoon/evening.
A lovely pub serving gorgeous food. Eaten here more than once and safe for coeliacs.
I ordered the gluten free Sunday lunch as pictured and it was perfect.
This pub is dog friendly and has water bowls in the outside yard.
Really nice pub off the beaten path, pleasantly surprised it wasn’t packed with tourists. Lovely indoor area and sunny outdoor area. Great selection of beers on tap, tried a rhubarb cider and it was absolutely gorgeous, not too sweet like fruity ciders can be. For food there’s a great selection of pub favourites with vegan and gluten free options. Hidden gem in Skipton 10/10 will be back.
