I have been enjoying Harlow's food for 10 years, being celiac I've always loved knowing I could count on their food for a safe and enjoyable meal. Unfortunately in the last handful of months the service and food has gone downhill so significantly. We've given feedback to the manager and continued going back because we love supporting our local restaurants but after tonights meal it's just beyond frustrating. You can't count on the food being the same each time you order anymore, sometimes the veggies are almost raw, sometimes they're cooked. Sometimes the food has flavor, other times it's so bland. This evening we both ordered the soup and it was so salty neither my partner or I could eat it. The staff gives the feeling of complete apathy one way or another. I know the service industry is getting slammed right now but it's such a bummer that they've gone down hill so significantly.
This is a cute Thai restaurant with a great atmosphere. The staff are friendly and fun, the staff seem to know everyone by name that come in and the ppl from the neighborhood just stop in to say hi as they are taking their evening walks π. The food is so good, and they serve a gluten-free menu, which I appreciate π ππ»
Muhammad was an excellent server and listed all the items on the menu I could have since I begrudgingly just turned gluten free. I ordered the Veggie Hash with poached eggs and while it could have had more veggies and a touch more flavor, it was yummy. The cocktails were delicious and my guest loved the champagne Muhammed picked out for her. Overall a lovely time.
My partner and I LOVE fireside and all of their staff! We enjoy their burgers and cocktails the most. I have celiac disease and they are very accommodating, their gluten free buns are great. My only complaint is that it is quite pricey but it is worth the splurge.
Nice beyond burger place.
You order at the kiosk first , grab a number, and then the food is served to you.
At the kiosk, there are set items and many customizable options to your liking like gluten free bun or lettuce bun. You can note any food allergies on there too.
I got the Cheeseburger and substituted the meat with the Beyond patty to make it vegetarian which added $3 for the substitution. It tasted juicy and flavorful, and also my first Beyond burger too. I opted to add griddled onions and grilled mushrooms and these additions are now a must for me.
My partner enjoyed his All American Cheese burger and noticed the patty is on the salty side like other reviews have mentioned.
I donβt think itβs fair that you guys charge an extra $4 for gluten free pasta and then give me a smaller portion size than the regular noodles. This happens every single time Iβve eaten at grassa. Itβs a bummer because I love your flavors but $20 for a kids size is diabolical work in this economy. I donβt mind paying more for gf but I at least deserve a reasonable/full portion for that extra $4
First time for us in Portland and our waiter Austen was super kind and had some good food recommendations. It was the perfect choice for us. The pizza and the pasta (gluten-free) were homemade and absolutely awesome! Absolutely worth a visit!
The staff here were very welcoming and nice. The food was enjoyable. A lot of the menu is able to be made vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, or to meet other diatary restrictions.

Iβve been eating here for many years with celiac disease and never had an issue. They have everything labeled on their menu and the staff is very knowledgeable about celiac disease.
I love this cafe and make a point to eat here when I stay in Portland. The dishes are creative and food is delicious. Excellent coffee, too. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options, plus gluten-free bread. They prioritize local food and drinks. I've always had good service. A real gem in this district.
Overall great experience! We had a party of 33 and had a VERY difficult time finding a restaurant that could take as many people and willing to accommodate the menu choices available. Every restaurant in town I called set up a food and drink menu and refused to deviate from it even if we knew we would like certain choices or had dietary issues (allergic, gluten, vegetarian etc). This was NOT the case at Irving Street Tapas.
Paresh the restaurant manager went WELL BEYOND the call of duty to accommodate our large group and did a fantastic job getting everything aligned and setup. We were able to set a budget of what we wanted to spend and they recommended food and drinks to fit within that but still allowing us to modify if needed. As long as they are in business we will be making this our go to every year during this time.
Fast, friendly, gracious service, delicious noodles, clean kitchen. I went back for the pumpkin curry, which was also top-notch tasty. Spice level was exactly as requested. Vegan and gluten-free options available. Burmese music created pleasant atmosphere. Look for the Eater article to read about the food cartβs interesting origins. Village Kitchen is the real deal!
I love this place! My best friend and I eat here quite often. The noodle salad is amazing, and gluten free. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the servers are really friendly. Three appetizers are great, and the drinks are perfect. This is a must visit if you're in Portland.
Must go to for authentic Italian. Fresh burrata with mortadella slices for appetizer, and Gluten free GF mixed seafood spaghetti for the wife and a sage buttered pear ravioli with a side of polenta for this guy! Excellent service. Dim and quiet atmosphere perfect for a romantic evening out. Must see!
This is a great cafe. I had the eggs Benedict with the salmon and avacado. They cooked my eggs exactly the way I asked (jammy, not runny) and the wasabi hollandaise sauce was so delicious. They were able to sub in gluten free bread that actually tasted great. The people working were lovely and it has a very relaxed homey vibe. Will be coming back soon.
AMAZING Food and Service!
My company just had our Holiday Party here and they went above and beyond! Working with Jennifer and the rest of the staff was such a great experience. We had a few vegans and gluten free people at our event and they were so considerate when making food special for them. The staff was so attentive and made the evening go seamlessly. Everyone at my work is still raving about the food. I could go on and on about this place.
Highly recommend to anyone looking to host a gathering here or just enjoy delicious Japanese Food :)
Nice space with a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Our party of 4 walked in Sunday without a reservation and was still able to be seated right away.
The server was quick and friendly. They were able to accommodate our dairy and gluten allergies easily and the menu was premarked with gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan.
We got the Nell burger, french dip, steak fries, and stuffed avocado. Everyone was very happy with their order, we'll be back.
I was thrilled they had cava by the glass and my daughters loved ordering one of their mocktails.
