this place is NOT dedicated gluten free. I don't know what the alleged 'kitchen manager' is think by verifying this but it is not true. I reported to atly, but for anyone unaware please do not go here under the impression it's dedicated
Great food, lots of gluten-free, veg, and vegan options. If I could give 4 1/2 for service, I would. Just took a minute to get our order taken, but the food came out quick.
One of the best gluten free sushi places I have found. They have a big gf section of the menu, plus really good teriyaki sauce that is too. One of the main things we go here for is the gf salad dressing.
The sushi rolls were decent, but the fish was great on the nigiri.
They label food as gluten free however some options are fried in the same oil as bread and is therefore contaminated with gluten. Disappointed that such a health conscious restaurant is not able to accurately label their food and protect those with celiac disease. Will give 5 stars when they have a gluten free fryer or update their menu labels.
I’m an Italian lady who learned to cook at the knee of my Nonna. Bartolo’s made me feel right at home and provided amazing service courtesy of Marina. The hostess was also gracious and accommodating and the food was amazing. I appreciated the gluten free offerings as someone who has health conditions that often prevent me from enjoying the food from my childhood. I very much enjoyed our whole experience here and would definitely return. Molto grazie!
I had very high hopes after hearing about Kyoto. For years it has had a great reputation. Perhaps it’s just their teriyaki and tempura that is so highly spoken about…or maybe they just don’t have good gluten free sushi roll options. But we were very disappointed in the 4 specialty rolls we got. It’s also probably not fair that we just ate a few days ago at Uchi in Austin which is a totally different high end class of sushi. But we were disappointed all the same. The nigiri ocean trout was excellent, but I would rate all 4 of the rolls we got as below average (even for gluten free). We got the Kinkaku roll, Ichigo roll, Mai Zuru roll, and the Geisha roll.
We also gave the chocolate sushi roll a try for dessert. I wouldn’t recommend it either. The chocolate shell needed to be darker, and it had what tasted like Hersheys syrup on it, and the raspberries were overpowered by an overly sweet raspberry syrup.
I wouldn’t get them again. It’s a better bet in my opinion to go to Takashi, Tsunami, and even Itto.

This place is awesome! They use all natural quality ingredients that are gluten free, soy free, no refined sugars, and buy as much as they can from local businesses. The staff is incredibly friendly and are really great at suggesting smoothies that work best for you. I cannot recommend highly enough! I wish I would have found this place sooner!
Favorite coffee shop in town! The coffee is high quality, great food options, and the service is always fast and friendly. I’m gluten free, so it’s hard to find coffee shops with food I can eat, but the Spanish quesadilla here is my go-to! Lots of seating, and I especially love the second floor loft space.
