We went here because my mom has celiacs disease and can't have gluten. She thought her pizza was really good and it did not make her sick, which is fantastic. However, I ordered a Caesar salad and while the flavor was good, the Lettuce was not chopped up well. There was a whole Romaine leaf in the salad and parts of the core left whole in the container. Then while eating, I found a caterpillar/worm on the Lettuce so I feel it wasn't washed correctly.
Frugal with ingredients, had to keep asking to add more of the same toppings.
Pretty disorganized group of employees.
Pans are not washed between pizzas. If you have a gluten allergy, beware. They sell gluten free crust, but there is no concern for cross contamination.
First time at Pieology and I was a little skeptical. We ordered the combo pizza and pomegranate lemonade. Both were very good. I loved the toppings and the sauce was very tasty (very important). One pizza fed my wife and I which is pretty good per person. Workers were normal, nothing good or bad. Atmosphere was nothing spectacular. Typical restaurant setup with current music and some animal videos playing. Go for the food, not the atmosphere. They do have vegan and gluten free options.
Vero’s Pizza has a relaxed atmosphere and fantastic service. I ordered a gluten free pizza and easy on the cheese. They made my pizza really quickly, exactly as ordered. The pizza was good; the ricotta and the vegetable toppings were fresh. I will definitely dine at Vero’s again. Although I was just there for a quick bite at lunch, I couldn’t help but notice there was bar and an advertisement for a Limoncello Spritz, so I have a few friends who I may bring back to enjoy a weekend dinner.
