We arrived, unknowingly, half an hour before closing, and they still treated us fantastically. The food is spectacular, delicious, and the service is fantastic. A very cozy place where everything is gluten-free and lactose-free. The woman who served us knew almost no Spanish or English, but she did her best to give us 10 service. I wish I could give more stars. A wonderful place, with great food.
I emailed them about my allergies and about cross contamination and they emailed back " Hello, we have gluten free options ( the salmon, the tofu and the shrimps), our chicken and our tuna are not gluten free (we use normal soya sauce when preparing them)
They are in the same fridge as you can see when entering our restaurant but there is no other cross contamination. Our staff is prepared to deal with costumers with allergies and prepared to explain when you make your order.
Hope to see you soon :)

Do not eat if gluten free.
Booked a table for 7:30pm outside. Arrived to be seated inside with broken AC (told not cleaned) Too hot to eat inside so we asked to wait to be seated outside as requested. They offered us drinks while we waited. Took a long time to arrive and all arrived separately, having asked for a couple of the drinks numerous times. Finally sat down on a table they created in a space which was available on our arrival - pushed by another table of 6 arriving at 8pm.
No food arrived until 9:20pm by which time we had been at the restaurant for 2 hours. Despite asking for gluten free food options 3 times, the waiter seemed unsure as to what was and wasn’t. He checked with the chef, verified and came back to us. We happily ate the ‘gluten free’ options given to us. Less than 30 mins later I have reacted to gluten in a way that can only be eating actually gluten and not cross contamination.
Very poor service, food and allergy requests not catered for despite their clear advertising of the opposite.
Will never go back.
Staff is educated on coeliac disease and they did a good job accommodating CD even though we were a drop in.
Would recommend calling them beforehand though.

I should have gone to McDonalds. Ordered an Ice Tea, it came in a warm glass and was therefore lukewarm. The Portuguese steak was poorly cooked, the bottom was well done, I ordered a medium rare.
While serving the main course the waiter threw the glass of sangria over my friend's shirt, there was no apology or new drink for this.
When we had finished our food, after 10 minutes we finally asked for the desert menu ourselves, because they did not bring it themselves. When my friend asked for gluten-free desert options you could see the panic in his eyes. He said there weren't any, but when we asked to inquire in the kitchen, they turned out to be there after all.
The other guests next to us didn't even finish the meal either, they asked for the bill halfway through their meal because their food wasn't tasty either.
My friends' food was fine, but we will definitely not be back here.
Excellent pizzas! Very light and tasty -
There are 3 choices of pasta: romana, Neapolitan and gluten-free.
Mini calzones for a super light and airy dessert!
Very reasonable prices
There are also large 1m pizzas -
Go for it ! It’s delicious!
In my top 3 of the best pizzerias
We had a fantastic dinner at Pausa in Tavira. We sat outside on the terrace and the staff was very friendly and attentive. The menu had clear indications for gluten-free (GF) and vegetarian (V) options, which was very helpful. We highly recommend trying the seared tuna and the ginger-lime prawns.
I emailed them about my allergies and about cross contamination and they emailed back " We have pizza gluten free for example we can use vegan cheese if you can have mozzarella … then also hamburger gluten free pasta … so come and please tell at the waiter all the allergies you have and we will take care of you 😉"
Great All You Can Eat Sushi Restaurant. They offer 2 price tiers, with over 90 different items available total. About $12 € and $15€ per person for the buffet. Everything was great good and nicely presented. Many gluten free options available. Indoor and outdoor seating. I would recommend this restaurant.
I emailed them about my allergies and about cross contamination and they emailed back " Hi, from our menu our gluten free options are nachos or the “build your own bowl” option where you can choose exactly which ingredients you would like in your main dish. We have a large variety of ingredients that you would be able to choose from based off of your allergies. 😁"
I emailed them about my allergies and about cross contamination and they emailed back " Hi Paulina, Thanks for getting in touch with us. We can take out any ingredients that you are allergic to (e.g. we can do burgers without buns or cheese, we can take off certain sauces, etc) for sure, however, it is hard to 100% guarantee that there hasn't been any potential cross-contamination in ingredients that we buy in, or during the preparation process. Hope this helps, All the best"

Tasca 26 is a kind of modern pub with delicious food. It is located 5 minutes below the center of Porches, and 3 minutes from Vilavita Parc.
The restaurant is on the 1st floor, you reach it via an outside staircase. You will be welcomed enthusiastically by the 4 hosts. You immediately feel at home, and I understand that for many people this is the favorite restaurant in Porches. The restaurant looks cozy and neat. There is 1 TV screen, and for me that is one too many. Anyway.
The menu is very extensive, and yet you don't have to wait long for your food. In addition to an assortment of tapas, you will find complete main courses, which range in price from 11-26 euros. There are 3 vegetarian/vegan dishes on the menu.
We choose the Beyond burger (vegan and gluten-free), which is served with delicious sweet potato fries. This only costs 10.90. We also order the tofu skewer (14.90), which looks beautiful and is served with vegetables and fries. Both dishes taste very good. For dessert we have a fresh fruit salad (which could have been a bit bigger), and a delicious Algarvia cake.
We would love to eat here again. The food is good, not expensive, and the hosts really make you feel welcome. Recommended!
Yesterday evening I was invited by my brother/sister in law for my birthday. It's always complex with celiac but my evening was perfect.
Thank you so much Bianca . 😘💐
Fantastic cafe that you would almost walk past. Family friendly with great options for kids. Gluten free options available also. I'm a coeliac, such a treat to eat gluten free pizzas and baguettes. Quality is amazing! Staff are incredibly friendly and the quality and taste of the food is top notch. We've been going back regularly since our first visit. It seems to me like the best kept secret in the Old Village.

Nice location of the restaurant next to the market in Olhão, nice staff (most of them do not speak English, but the menu is available in several languages and online). The heavy traffic of cars on the street was a bit disturbing when choosing a place in the garden outside. Food good, gluten free pizza correct. Nice time at lunch. A big plus for a conscious gluten-free option.

Great spot for a casual dinner while watching a soccer match! Relaxing patio seating. Plenty of gluten free options. The prawns and ribs were both excellent! especially the prawns in orange sauce. Very tasty!
We have been going on holiday to the Algarve with our family for a few years now and we never miss Bailote.
We have tried quite a few things on the menu – meat, fish, tapas, pasta and pizza – and we are always very satisfied.
I eat gluten-free myself, and this is one of the few places in the area where I have so much choice. Pizzas, bread, burgers, salads: it is not only on the menu, it is also incredibly good!
The warm atmosphere and the great service make it complete. Definitely recommended!

Me and my hubby went for a quick lunch to Don Sebastião and we were very much surprised about the delightful food and wine. The food was very honest but delicious at the same time.
I had a beef Portuguesa (all glutenfree), the potatoes and the meat were on point! The vine was from Douro and just the right companion. Only slidly minus point are the chairs- they look so stunning but aren’t that comfortable 🥲.
Every year we spend holidays in Algarve and we go to this pizza place. Best gluten free pizza I ever had. Always call one day before to make the reservation and make sure they have enough gluten free pizza for all of us. Thank you and see u next year
Busy restaurant, we asked about gluten-free options the first night and were shown 3 things on the menu. The second night, we were given a gf menu. Perhaps the staff didn't know about it but this seems kind of important information to know.

Delicious breaky spot in Lagos with great coffees too. They have gluten free bread so can make most things coeliac friendly! Well priced too. It is very popular so you might struggle to get a seat or may have to wait.
Had an issue with our order and the staff sorted it out graciously took the meal off the bill.
It seems like a good place with a wide variety of great products. However, what makes me not give it the maximum score is that despite it explicitly saying on the website that Dom Rodrigo is gluten-free and that it is not listed as an allergen (and not "allergenic"). The same thing happens in the store: we select "gluten-free", it shows us a list of products that do not include the gluten allergen, we drive 55 km each way and arrive at the store and are told that they cannot guarantee that the products are gluten-free, as there may have been contamination...
I imagine that they wouldn't like that to happen, would they? I would suggest that the information on the website be corrected, removing the information that the products are gluten-free, as it is not guaranteed that they are, and including traces of wheat/gluten in the list of allergens, as they are unsuitable for celiacs. Furthermore, the symbol indicating that the products are gluten-free should also be removed from the cards that identify the products in the display cases, as it is not guaranteed that they are gluten-free.
Detail: my wife is celiac and I went there with her on purpose so she could try Dom Rodrigo and other specialties. In addition, I also lost the opportunity to buy some for myself (I have no dietary restrictions), as did the 5th star. What a shame.

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Ricardos pizzeria, and I can’t say enough good things about it! The staff were warm and welcoming and the food was absolutely delicious. One of our party is a coeliac and there was a great variety of dishes to choose from, which is sometimes difficult to find. And the tiramisu is to die for ! Couldn’t recommend this place enough and we will be back!
I am more than surprised. First of all. There is a lot of gluten-free options. The food is amazing and that’s for the low price. The service is top. Very nice. I once been there for the breakfast and I have to say it’s a little bit on the smaller size, but for the price, it’s no doubt really good And now I’ve been there For There Sunday meal and it was absolutely amazing and the portion was let’s say definitely enough. I would recommend 10/10
They had 3 gluten free pasta choices (penne, spaghetti and fusilli) combined with any of the sauces. We had bolognese and boar ragu. Delicious!! Olives and cheese were amazing too. Real Italian.
My only frustration was that we told them we were gluten free and they brought us bread with the olives and cheese appetizer. We asked three times if it was gluten free and were reassured it was. The third time the server said no it wasn’t. My husband had already eaten some of it. I’d be very cautious if you are celiac.
Discovered this brunch in the old town of Aljezur. A nice hippie atmosphere, but not very cozy if you want to feel comfortable while eating 😅
Very good acai bowl granola, as well as the gluten-free banana bread. Lots of vegan and gluten-free options, which are pretty good!
Nice view, lovely food, very modern and clean, gluten free options, also cheap! I got a steak sandwich in a different style bun.. no complaints! Bun was very nice sort of like a crispy outside but a pancakey middle, fries wasn’t too crispy which is good, fluffy on the inside and paired with the garlic mayo (that comes with the meal) was incredible, 10/10! My girlfriend got a gluten free chicken wrap with bacon, cheese, cherry tom and carrot.. she said it’s the best meal she’s had in Portugal! (we’ve been here over a month) she is a celiac so, SOME OF THE MENU is gluten free and safe for sure! For drinks we got a home made mint lemonade, big glass and refreshing, lovely place!
We had gluten free Bacalhau com natas (Cod and potatoes in cream and cheese sauce) which was delicious and Lime and honey salmon, which was the best salmon dish we have had in Portugal.
