Such a beautiful restaurant. Had a lunch passing through town. The food was delicious, price amazing and the staff very friendly. Was really nice to hear laughter from coming out the kitchen, which means the staff enjoy being there. So did my partner and myself. Total plus was our food was gluten free. Perfect. Sunday night my husband and I and a few of his mates from the cricket team went in for dinner as we had just arrived from Sydney, the tall lady behind the counter at the restaurant was so helpful, one of my husbands friends is Coeliac and when he mentioned this to the girl, she was so understanding and made sure that everyone in the kitchen was aware in order to prevent cross contamination, she was also just extremely polite and accommodating, so we went back again last night (Monday) and my husband told the rest of the team and they mentioned it to the other teams and I saw most of them there last night. The two guys at the bar were lovely and the same girl behind the counter at the bistro was again fantastic- they were so busy in the kitchen and she kept a smile on her face the whole time! The woman and men who were cooking in the kitchen did a fantastic job to keep up with all the orders and even though there was a sign about an extended wait time and the lady at the counter let us know, we really didn’t wait that long. Hats off to all staff at the Commercial Sunday and Monday night, we will be back every night we are in town and most definitely when we come back through here. The Commercial has certainly had a facelift and personnel improvement since the last time we were here (a few years ago).

This is a fabulous cafe - great coffee, fantastic food, good service, reasonable prices and a great building and courtyard garden. We ate the banana bread and the pumpkin salad with extra chicken. The owner and chef are both coeliac so they really look after GF people. An absolute must if you’re passing through Dubbo.
