Stopped by for a quick bite on my first night in Cairns. I’m coeliac and it was nice to see so many options. The chef also came out to double check if I was coeliac or just intolerant which I really appreciated.
Maple bacon burger & chips was very tasty. Would go back.
Incredible service, efficient, food was delicious. My sister is a celiac and they adapted perfectly to this, with natural options for it. Our waitress, Ines was very nice and seemed to predict all our needs.
10/10
We became regulars here by mistake. Seeing a bunch of venues around the CBD offering their various lunch specials inspired our friend group to try them all. But when we got to Tha Fish, we no longer had the desire to continue the food tour.
Let’s start with the absolutely amazing $25 lunch deal which comes with one main and a beverage!! ALWAYS DELICIOUS, filling and awesome.
But then we look further down the menus and we reallllyyyy start to get into the fun stuff. The gyoza, the prawns, the fish main, the wines on offer … WE ARE TALKING ABOUT TOP SHELF STUFF HERE! And the team are always so happy and helpful. Just old school, good quality service. Plenty of Gluten Free and vego options as well if that’s your thing!!
Cannot speak highly enough and will always be returning.
We ordered gluten free honey chicken, fried calamari salt and pepper with special fried rice
And also a non gluten free sweet and sour pork and the dishes were great
Was the best gluten free Chinese food we have had.
They have a separate gluten-free menu making ordering easy as we order over the phone for takeout.
Food is fantastic, staff are attentive and atmosphere is great. Has live music at certain times. So many vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options (some pictured).
I just went into this location and was told they do not cater to celiac. They have no dedicated fryers and everything is cooked together on the same equipment. I would not recommend eating here if celiac or have a gluten allergy.
Me and my partner had a lovely dinner here! The food and wine was amazing and the service was great! We shared a prawn entree, mains were the steak and chicken and dessert was the crème brûlée. Fantastic flavors AND all suitable for a coeliac. The waiter really understood what to ask and knew off the top of his head what I could and couldn’t eat and what had risks. Would def recommend and would love to come back if we lived closer
Great little cafe in the heart of the city!! The food was pretty good and the portion sizes were great too, was quite difficult to finish the eggs Benedict! A few gluten free options and super friendly staff. I absolutely enjoyed my experience here and cannot wait to share it with my friends and family.
They have a gluten free schnitzel but I called asking if I could order everything gluten free and they said yes that they always change the oil. When I arrived they told me that actually the fries are not gluten free. So I ended up eating only the schnitzel and I paid for a fries that I couldn’t eat.
Got to finally taste the magic that is hook and sail at the parrot head party; the flavours melted in my mouth and I was able to wash it all down with free flowing frozen margaritas. The staff are a joy and are so accommodating - even running on a limited menu they were able to provide gluten free alternatives.
50/10 will be back!
Our hotel recommended this restaurant for a quick and delicious dinner. The restaurant was able to modify several items to be gluten free for me including pad Thai, fried rice and pawpaw salad. Everything was delicious and came in massive portions very quickly. Highly recommend for a casual dinner

This was one of the best fish curries I have ever eaten in my life. Was nice and spicy and great portion size. Reminded me of my grandmothers cooking.
Also they have gluten free options that are safe for celiacs - all curries are GF on the menu, and naan is made separately
I would highly recommend the food at this place. I’ll come again if I’m ever back in cairns.
