The food was lovely and the girl who served us was very helpful as one of my friends was gluten intolerant. Lovely time despite the inclement weather, so it was great the heaters were on. Will be back.
I was at Ioesco last night, I am gluten free and ordered a gluten free pasta dish. The gluten free pasta they used was a penne. The sauce was lovely and as I was eating the dish, I came across some linguini pasta and some spaghetti pasta. As they only have a penne as the gluten free option I knew I had been given pasta containing gluten.
When I asked about this the waitress spoke to the chef who admitted that because he was close to closing he had taken a short cut used the same basket and water to cook my gluten free pasta in. I am now suffering the consequences. This chef purposely has put made me ill, because it was 7.30pm, the restaurant was not busy and he wanted to go home, because the chef cut corners I will now be sick for a few days. Then to add insult to injury when we received the bill there was. $5 charge for the gluten free pasta. Nowhere on the menu did it mention an extra charge for gluten free pasta. A whole box of gluten free pasta is only $4.50 from the supermarket.
Really delish food, lovely relaxed neighbourhood vibe, very kind and attentive staff. We had the Masaman beef, stir fry chilli basil chicken and pad phrik khing, and very kindly made them all gluten free with no troubles. Iโm usually not a big prawn eater, and I really really loved the prawns in the pad phrik khing. Looking forward to coming back to eat them again !! Kap khun krap !!!!
