service was great, but as a celiac patient I have never seen such a disgusting pancake. the gluten free pancake was extremely thick and rubbery, and I found the middle of the pancake actually inedible. also the bottom was dry and looked more like a pizza base or pita bread (???). if you can eat gluten this is recommended, my girlfriend's pancake looked great and the atmosphere is good! but they really need to change something about the gluten free pancakes.

During our visit to Den Bosch we had lunch at Van Puffelen - Eetcafé & Meer! The waiter was in a hurry to take the drinks order, but delayed in taking the food. Charlie is more of an indoor playground with dining facilities than a restaurant, although the name 'family restaurant' probably gives that away. The atmosphere is completely aimed at children and families, which is great if that is what you are specifically looking for. The menu also reflects this and therefore offers few surprises. Compliments for the extensive gluten-free range, which was not necessary for us, but was very positive.
What was disappointing was the lack of service. Nowadays you order everything via a tablet, which means there is hardly any interaction with the staff. That feels impersonal and makes it less hospitable. A solution for staff shortages, but it does detract from the experience of service.
The food is really overpriced for what you get.
In short: if your children want to play, this can be a handy place to have something to eat.

DONT GO HERE. He just went to the drive through. We asked for 2 happy meals, 2 double cheeseburgers and a frappe. 1 of the happy meals and cheeseburger was supposed to be gluten free and the other happy meal and cheeseburger without mustard and pickle. Not only they changed the whole order with each other but inside of the frappe was a ALIVE FLY. We had to throw away everything. They don’t clean the machines and they don’t care about allergies of the people. Dangerous place. Careful, the manager is disrespectful and aggressive.

It is a small, cozy Italian restaurant. The tables are very close together (I personally don't like this). You can, so to speak, enjoy the conversations that are being had next to you. The service was friendly, but the drinks took a bit long (given that there were not many people present at the time).
The food, on the other hand, was really great!! The gluten-free pizza was really delicious, as if I were eating a normal pizza. Furthermore, besides the pizza, there were few gluten-free options, but I take that for granted. Because the pizza is really too tasty!!
