The Breakfast Club is my favorite breakfast spot in Mammoth! Sergio and the rest of the team are always so welcoming and make you feel like you're at home. The food and coffee are consistently delicious, and the homemade pastries are incredible! They also offer gluten -free pancakes that are so yummy!
We stopped at The Stove after a long scenic drive from Sacramento. Our server chip was super nice, and extremely patient with my wife who had s ton of menu and locality questions. It's rare to find gluten free options in a resort town but they offered gf Turkey club which was amazing.
We really had a good time, cocktails were good. I had an Old Fashioned, my calibration cocktail to test the any mixologist, and it was 4 out of 5 stars. Really spirit forward, but was lacking a tad bit of simple syrup. Subsequently I had their Honey based cocktail (using their gin they distil on site) and I was really good.
My wife had a a whiskey based cocktail with blueberry (disappointing), and then the blue agave and watermelon based cocktail and she really enjoyed it
A key characteristic of the place (besides distilling on-site), is that your pick your table of choice, but most importantly the Toast system gives you full independence in ordering (LOVED IT). They provide each dish option, indicates if it's gluten free, or offer you to activate the option. You can keep your tab open and keep ordering as you want to. It was so convenient. Thank you , thank you, team Shelter Distilling!!!
Whether you order drinks or food they come in really quickly.
The food is good (not exceptional - granted I'm picky). But as I mentioned in my opening statement we had a great time.
We will come back
I might never eat dinner anywhere else in mammoth again.
Arrived on a ski week Sunday night and at 7pm could not find a place answering phones nor willing to put my name down. Plus my lady has Celiac disease... thought it was going to be a grocery store dinner. But then found these guys with just a half hour wait, and after an appetizing trek from the parking lot in a strong icy wind, stepped into the coziest little restaurant with the nicest waiters and best food and drink! They seated us right away, poured big, even gave us a space heater right under our table, and brought stuff out really quickly even though they were slammed. They joked around with us and encouraged us to take our time even though we were about to be the last ones there. Truly great folk. The Escabeche and Pastelón were to die for. They really turned around the night for us. Thank you Cristi and company!!
Love their new location in the Village. Gluten free and Vegan options are labeled on the menu. Food is excellent! Especially the duck and ahi tuna tacos. The margaritas are out of this world and there is also a great selection of signature cocktails. Dogs are also welcome on the patio!
Just had the best pizza ever at this gem in Mammoth! The crust was perfection—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside—and I was seriously impressed by their gluten-free dough option. It didn’t feel like a compromise at all—light, flavorful, and held up beautifully with all the toppings. The ingredients tasted super fresh, and the vibe of the place was cozy and welcoming. Whether you’re gluten-free or not, this spot is a must-visit. Can’t wait to come back! 🍕💫
