Thank you for all the gluten free options! Seeing "celiac safe" on so many menu items was amazing, and all the food was fantastic! I loved the umami bomb (mushroom bowl) and the gluten free fried chicken.

Really baffled at how this place has a 4.9 rating. The food options are pretty basic, nothing you can't make easily at home and nothing special about them. While waiting for our food, I frequently heard a microwave open, closing, dinging, etc.
There is a good variety of baked goods if you're gluten free by choice but not if you have celiac as they have a small kitchen and non-GF options so cross contamination is definitely occurring. Since there is no disclosure about what is being used in place of wheat flour, I opted for a cookie. Which was good but surprisingly soft.
Coffee was gross. Regular coffee was very weak. Espresso was very bitter. Grossly over extracted. A double shot (roughly 3-4oz) took up roughly half of a 12 ounce cup. Thus my general rule of "if the cappuccino is offered with sizes, the coffee is going to be bad" continues to be true
This is by far my favorite restaurant in Sonoma County- exceptional and inspired food, cozy ambiance, stellar wine selection, and attentive staff. La Bodega Kitchen is strictly vegetarian, and while I do eat meat, I still think their food tastes better than anywhere else. They also have many dairy-free and gluten-free options. Each time is a magical experience and I try to bring all of my out-of-town visitors here. The wine club is great too!
Just went here yesterday and I already want to plan another visit. Muir's Tea Room is phenomenal! They were so kind and accommodating to our group, making sure to check in advance if anyone had gluten free needs. The tea was delicious and they have so many flavors to choose from. The food was incredible and everything was vegan. I was so stuffed afterwards. The power kept going on and off because of the storm but the staff continued to be cheerful and helpful throughout! Many thanks to Muir's for making my birthday so special.
Wild Poppy has a smaller menu and focuses effort on those options and delivers exceptional quality food. Example: the huevos rancheros has an excellent green sauce (tomatillo; not particularly spicy imo), a savory black bean puree, cashew cream (instead of dairy--my gf is lactose-free), etc., topping a tender omelette, on fried corn tortilla, and a generous portion size. They have excellent gluten-free options (I can definitely vouch for the standard strawberry scone today, but we've had gf before and it was good). The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful even though they serve a ton of people. The garden seating is relaxing. ... Wild Poppy is worth including in your trip itinerary if you appreciate quality food.
One of our favorite restaurants in Sebastopol.
Consistently tasty food. The daal (lentil soup, complimentary when eating in) is so smooth and savory, even a friend who dislikes lentils enjoyed it; it is also vegan and gluten free. We are hooked on the chicken tikka masala, chana masala (chickpeas), and all the dishes with paneer. You can choose how mild or spicy you want the entrees. You can see the spice pods in the sauces which add to the chickapow flavors. All of the naan is great; the cilantro one was surprising and the butter naan is our favorite. They offer both brown and white rice.
The owner and family are so welcoming while also being quick and never intrusive. It's nice to have a sit down place without picnic benches, although it's also not fancy. Right outside is a vibrant, diverse garden (try to guess what is growing on the tree!). We have also had pick up orders that were no different in quality.
I pretty much never write reviews, but I want others to try this place so that it never closes.
