Prices were about average for the style of restaurant. I ordered a large and was able to save half for dinner.
Quality of ingredients was good.
Selection of Gluten-free options was outstanding. Everything they offer was Gluten-free
The staff was pleasant.
It certainly felt like a chain establishment, but everything was clean and the food was good.
A beautiful atmosphere with VERY good (celiac safe gluten free) food options at very reasonable prices. Our server Alexis was phenomenal! She was knowledgeable and aware about celiac, which was very reassuring. Great beer selection and an unbelievable bottled wine list.
Prices were reasonable for the area.
quality of food was great.
selection was really good.
gluten-free options for bun, meats, and sides and sauces and beer.
staff was super friendly and kind.
Steve M took our order & he was fantastic! I also appreciate the team’s attention to my gluten allergy. I totally will be back & will recommend to friends & family & Steve M keep up the great work! Your positive attitude made my day!!!
Awesome manager and workers! I have an unfortunate diet that relies on low histamine foods to keep me healthy. Oddly enough, they have some gluten free and low-ish histamine options that work GREAT! The manager walked me through what was in the options I COULD have, super fast. The order didn't take more than 4 minutes start to finish with explanations, and the food was prepared in under 5 minutes. Very impressed with this location! (If you are a chicken hound, be sure to order an extra side of chicken for your bowl :) )
I haven’t eaten here due to their disclaimer for celiacs on their website. It states they offer Gf options but trace amounts of gluten may be found in their food. Appreciate the honesty, but not worth the pain!
bomb A++. great options for vegans/vegetarians. there is a whole section of the menu outlined with veggie options and all of the gluten free items are clearly labeled. great service. the sushi comes on beautiful stone plates which makes the food seem way more expensive than it is!!! great sushi at a fair price. super quality sushi, hand rolled and well made. my partner says you can tell a sushi place is good if they use little rice and more veggies. by that standard, this place is amazing.
So delicious! We took my mom to boxcar for her birthday. I have celiac disease and my mom has a dairy allergy. The staff was helpful and accommodating to our dietary restrictions and we left full and happy! We will absolutely dine here again, one of the best meals we've had in a while!
prices were reasonable
quality of the food was as expected
service was about average
there were gluten free options available.
the bison burger was tasty.
I am eating here right now! I lived at Jesse Hall in 1988, and am a Uof M grad. Go Griz! Today, I am enjoying the PB & J burger, soup and chips. They have an awesome menu, good prices, and friendly staff. Plethoria of coffees and teas, gluten free options, and the inside and outside of the place is warm and inviting. Enjoy the ambiance of the outside patio or inside seating. Plenty of room and immediately beside U of M. Families come here when you drop off your kiddo at U of M. I remember when the owner first opened this place. He noted that he wanted a place for people to enjoy good food, coffee/tea, and just have a good time. Plus, not go away unhappy or hungry. Portions are genuine....I know so and enjoy good a lot. However, I enjoy this food even more. I hope U.of M stufe ts make this their go to place!
The gluten free bun was good, the standard food service gluten free option...but the inside contents were amazing! Everything was cooked well and came out hot and fresh. Our server was knowledgeable about the gluten free options and was very friendly.
First time at Old Chicago, and I took my son to dinner! The gluten-free BBQ bacon cheese burger is FANTASTIC!! Impressed w/GF menu in general!👌 My son had the same, said "best burger he's ever had." 😋 Service was great, we chose to sit in the bar & the atmosphere was great (slightly noisy, but what bar isn't)? Will definitely be returning & using curbside! Thanks, OC! ✌️
Wonderful restaurant. I loved the vast gluten-free and vegetarian options.
They can do gluten-free pancakes, sandwiches, burgers, and even french fries!
Today I tried the overnight oats for the first time. They were delicious, topped with date syrup, fresh fruit, and whipped cream.
My guest had a waffle with Nutella, which looked amazing!
I will say, it may be a bit on the pricier side for this style of restaurant. That said, I've had burgers, sandwiches, salads, and now breakfast from this place and I've never been disappointed. The food is always fresh, well cooked and seasoned, and the portions are hardy.
The waitstaff is also super friendly. I like the laid-back atmospheric.
I truly appreciate this new addition to our local restaurant selection. If you have any dietary restrictions, I guarantee they will have an option for you!
Quality food. Simple, counter serve place, with a handful of burger options. Had a good gluten-free bun, that my wife had and enjoyed. They also have a vegetarian option and a chicken burger option. Food was very tasty. Outside seating was nice. We were primarily served by the manager who was very attentive, friendly and helpful.
They have a variety of gluten free selections to choose from. Come hungry as the portions are big. Fried chicken was amazing. Bacon was reminiscent to Burns St. Bistro..
Great experience at this restaurant today, even with the busy chaos of football season waiting time (which was about 45 minutes). The service, delicious, fresh breakfast, and classic diner style menu and atmosphere was what we were after. The steak was slightly overcooked, but tasted delicious and was exactly what I was craving. I tried to order the gluten free french toast, but when inquiring about the preparation discovered that it isn't safe for celiacs, as it's dipped in the same egg wash as the regular french toast. Probably should clarify that, along with any fried offerings that are cross contaminated so that a celiac doesn't get screwed over. Otherwise, a really excellent place and the staff was amazing. I'm glad I inquired, and am happy to report that their steak and eggs with hashbrowns is delicious!

The Patio is our favorite restaurant in Missoula! The owners are beyond wonderful. The staff are always friendly, the food is consistent and phenomenal. The warm kale salad and the chocolate tortes are some of our favorites!
Also as someone with celiac they have many celiac safe options and are very educated on how to prepare celiac safe meals!

Busy restaurant! Depending on time (i.e., dinner), there may be a wait for a table. Usually, it's not very long, but it really depends on table turnover. Servers are great, food/drinks are good & family friendly! Having Celiac, I couldn't eat the rolls, but kids/grandkids said they were really good. Will definitely be going back. 😉
This is one of my new favorite spots in Missoula! I can’t believe it took me two years to discover this lovely little place. Amazing service from a friendly and knowledgeable staff. They know the right questions to ask and have even better suggestions. The place feels comfortable and homey. It is a great place to chat with friends or get some work done. The food is amazing. Some of the best gluten free options I have found in Missoula! I cannot rate this cafe highly enough. A must try!!
I ordered a wagyu beef ramen bowl, gluten-free. They brought me a ramen bowl with steamed chicken. I said this isn't what I ordered. They said, oh you wanted it gluten-free so the beef isn't gluten free. We give the chef a lot of leeway when you order gluten free. I said, I would have ordered something else..... It literally tasted like airplane food. It was a bowl of spicy soup with little bits of overcooked steamed chicken. It cost $84 for me and my husband. To eat 2 bowls of spicy soup and one drink each, which were tiny. No appetizers. We were still hungry after.
Great mexican fusion place. Focuses on locally sourcing their produce and meats and has a great chic environment that is very family friendly.
Extensive gluten-free menu, which is great for my partner ( all the corn tortillas made are made in-house and a definite plus) and a barcade in the basement that is a great hang out spot on the weekends.

So bad. The chicken is like they scrape something off the floor, ran it through a grinder and put breading on it. The person taking my order seemed like she really wished we would go away. Not the slightest smile. The tables had spills and crumbs on them. We were the only people in the place and the lady behind the counter was just hanging out, but apparently not about to go wipe a table. I told them I had a gluten allergy and ordered gluten-free and they gave me a meal with gluten. The atmosphere is full of clanging jarring noises. What a nightmare this place is.
Great food. Great service. Priced for value. i highly recommend it.
i visited with someone who is sensitive to gluten and dairy, and it was easy for him to find something he could eat on the menu.
