I don't think I've ever seen a menu offering this extensive for clean eating, and the pricing is sublime. I'm gluten-free, dairy-free and refined sugar-free (read: very fun to take out to eat) and had a field day here whilst on vacation. The nut milks and juices were incredible. The mixed berry cheesecake was divine--I desperately need the recipe. I need you to open up an outpost where I live!!
We can to Jackson’s twice while on vacation and loved it both times! The smash burger is delicious and the loaded tots and fries are so yummy! Our twins have celiac and could have homemade fried chicken tenders and fries safely which is a huge treat.
The ice cream is sooo creamy and delicious and the twins even got to have gluten free cones! The single scoop is a LOT of ice cream.
The service was great, everyone was friendly.
We really enjoyed the curries here. Good vibe. Heads up that when we visited some of the items on the online menu that are marked gluten free have changed and are no longer available to be made gluten free.
Great dinner experience with the family. Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. Daughter and I are celiac and Gather had several delicious offerings. Definitely recommend for other celiacs as well as those without any dietary restrictions.
This experience made for a great evening. The wagon ride to and from the cookout was fun and provided some great photo opportunities. Our wagon driver LeAnn was informative and handled the horses well. Food at the cookout was good and they are able to provide modifications based on dietary restrictions. My wife has a Gluten sensitivity. You just let them know when you get your confirmation call about a week ahead. The entertainment was fun featuring some vaudeville style skits, jokes and country western music. The standout was a young man named Hiram who is a very talented fiddle player. Overall I recommend this experience for families of all ages.
If you are traveling through or to Jackson the Virginian is place you have to stop and enjoy. It is also the best place to go after a long grueling climb in one of the many summits I. The Teton range.
This restaurant has it all! Wonderful service. A clean and tidy restaurant and dining area. The staff is friendly and helpful. The bathroom is clean and neat. The service is quick and hot. The prices, well .... I'll blame it on inflation. 😂
We ordered the French toast with fresh strawberries- gluten free, pecan pancakes with strawberries, one egg over medium, two eggs over easy, and 8 sausage links, with coffee. All dishes were cooked very well and served hot and fresh. Coffee was topped off consistently and we were attended too by our server and other staff.
Delicious!
Do you know why the Blue Lion has been serving food for forty years? I will tell you: the blue lion is exceptional! In every way it stands out. The service was sublime, and even entertaining at times. I had the scallops, Eddie had trout. The flavors and texture were superior. I cook fish and well. But this restaurant has invested in a cook who knows what he is doing.
Eddie and I had a table just inside the entrance to the patio. Adorning our view were big leafy plants, green trees, clean windows. It was as though we, tired climbers that we were, had stumbled on an oasis. Our waiter told us the funniest of stories we knew too well- drunk drivers in Denver! The rest of the staff was respectfully kind and warm. My Grand Marnier was lush and plentiful. The desert was awesome. The salad was excellent and came straight from the back yard garden I’m sure. I recommend the Blue Lion for excellent cuisine, romance, a slow dinner, and atmosphere. The time flew by. Honestly we found it hard to leave. Oh lest I forget they had two outstanding gluten free meal choices and many choices for vegetables. Yum and yum!
This is a barbeque joint that does NOT put barbeque sauce on its meat. Because some barbeque sauces contain gluten, customers must apply the barbeque themselves. The meat is smoked and good; however, it's not barbeque without the sauce baked on. The mac & cheese is like boxed mac & cheese; it's definitely not baked southern style. Their salads are large and our party seemed to enjoy them. My bread pudding was litterally slices of bread broken into pieces and baked with no icing or sauce. They gave me the burboun sauce on the side. They have 4 flat screen TVs to watch sports. They will only split the bill 4 ways for parties larger than four, and they automatically charge a 20% gratuity for parties larger than 6.
Always love this place , come each year Especially ❤️ the huckleberry pancakes made with blue corn (gluten free) will always frequent Hatch on my visits to our family here
Great service , great menu , in town location
Great local spot for bar food with lots of good options on the menu. They have gluten free burger buns. We both enjoyed our meals and they had a great selection of local beer and cider. We sat in the bar area and the service was great.
Called ahead to check for gluten free options when we arrived they didn’t t have those options and said they don’t make that gluten free food. Everything was pre frozen steak fries. had been smeared in sauce and the burger patty was burnt and definitely frozen
Food was great! There were options for the vegan, the dairy intolerant, the gluten free eaters, and the fry lovers! It was very speedy service as well. The only con was that it was quite stuffy in the spot we were seated. After coming in from the hot street we weren't loving that. Otherwise, awesome!
The Rustic Inn in Jackson itself is a nice hotel, the rooms are spacious and nicely decorated.
My main issue is the service.
I contacted the hotel long before our arrival, to ask if they have gluten free bread for breakfast. The answer was there is always gluten free available at breakfast. I assumed that was an answer to my question. It was not.
When we turned up for breakfast the first day I asked for gluten free bread and was shown some cream cheese instead. I asked at reception and she did not really believe that I asked before hand, said she would ask the manager and then came back and said: if it is not on the buffet, then they don't have it. But there are always gluten free options like fruit and yoghurt. Needless to say that we did not try the restaurant for dinner.
The gym could have been better too. A small glass pavilion, without aircon and the ceiling fan did not work either. 3 out of our 4 days it was simply to hot to use it. No floor mats available for exercises on the floor. Ok, but not good.
The location however directly next to the river is great.
And the Creekside market is next door, who do fabulous gluten free (and other) sandwiches.
We called ahead to ask about GF pasta and sauces and were informed they had options for both. I also made sure when I ordered to say everything needs to be GF. I also proceeded to ask not to have cheese on pasta. Dish came out with regular bread sitting on it as well as cheese. I informed waitress and she proceeded to argue with me that i didn’t tell her not to put bread on plate. I stated that I did in fact state no gluten at all on whole meal. I also said Dairy free and she continue to arguing stating if it says GF it wouldn’t have any dairy so she was not knowledgeable at all. She first stated she would take it off our bill, then proceeded to charge us anyway and continued to be argumentative. She eventually took it off and we left to find somewhere else for dinner. All in all, not a good experience and would not recommend for someone with food allergies.
Wow! Just what we were looking for . . . calm, quiet atmosphere; amazing professional, yet friendly service; and the best food we've ever had in Jackson. We will definitely go back. (Bonus: they are great with gluten-free and dairy-free.)
Hugo and Jesse were absolutely amazing!! The restaurant is so attentive to dietary needs! I am gluten sensitive and even the bread did not bother me because of a certain fermented Italian flour they use. They were more than willing to accomodate anything we asked to make my sister's wedding reception dinner absolutely perfect. When we had trouble finding someone to make a wedding cake, their pastry chef happily made a beautiful cake that was just what we needed. They constantly checked on us, answered all our questions thoughtfully, described each dish when they came out, and were such a joy to have as part of an important family event. Not to mention the food was to die for!!! HIGHLY recommend!
Not much ambiance, but boy the food is so good. We absolutely loved it. Gluten free options available. Food was excellent, margheritas were huge and very tasty.
Sydney, our server, was fantastic. The food was really great as well! We hit happy hour (3-6PM) and got some great drinks at half off. Enjoyed a bison burger, salmon, and a few more dishes. The seltzers are local and sugar/gluten-free, which is awesome! The atmosphere was pretty cool. There's outdoor seating upstairs, which I highly recommend. The hostess and everyone who greeted us were really cool and hospitable.. i see some negative reviews, but we had an awesome time.
