A cozy local restaurant that offers their unique take on classic American cuisine. They are located in a charming building with plenty of street parking available surrounding the establishment. For nicer weather, there is a side patio with tables shaded with umbrellas and their main dining area.
The selection of food is perfect for lunch or dinner and not overwhelming, plus they have a full bar. They serve plenty of local beer and cider, which is an excellent way to sample what the area has to offer. The majority of the menu is gluten-free, and they do offer gluten-free substitutions for sandwiches and pasta. The real highlight of the meal are their spudsters - mashed potatoes made into little conical shapes with a piping bag, probably frozen, and then deep fried. They have seasonings and sauces to choose from to create endless tasting combinations. Absolutely my new favorite appetizer, and I would come back just for these.
Everyone enjoyed their lunch and we were very happy we decided to stop. We will definitely be by again when in the area.
They understand allergies and cross contamination, they are known for their high standards of allergy friendly food. My group that went had lots of different allergies and they were able to make safe food for all of us. I got an amazing gluten free and dairy free meal. The staff was very respectful as well
Great breakfast sandwich and coffee. Reasonable prices and good service! I overheard that they have gluten free options for some sandwiches which is great. I was here around 12/12:30 and there was only one girl taking orders and making all the drinks but she was crushing it, I don’t know if I could handle the constant rush that well! I wish I’d gotten her name but shoutout to her and everyone working this morning!!
Having a gluten allergy and going out to restaurants and not feeling safe is incredibly common. The service of Ella and hunter was super helpful and made me feel safe with my allergy. Not to mention that the food is great
I would like to start by saying I have always been a huge fan of Bennetts. I am gluten free (sensitivity not an allergy) and it's always a very convenient place to go that doesn't upset my stomach. Well today I had a very different experience than what I was typically used to receiving from Bennetts. Today I came in with my mother, brother and sister. 3/4 sandwiches we ordered were gluten free, we informed them that we all only had a sensitivity NOT an allergy. Very quickly after ordering and sitting down we could hear one of the cooks LOUDLY complaining about us and making fun of us for "ordering gluten free food at a sub shop". We had to take our food to go and eat elsewhere because the interaction left us all very uncomfortable. I must say I am immensely disappointed in this experience and don't honestly know if I will ever return to Bennetts.
Very loyal customer of Jersey Mikes. Staff is super friendly and great at accommodating my gluten allergy. They use separate tools and wipe everything down in front of me and always in stock on gluten free bread. Never have to worry when coming here!
