We are visiting from the Gold coast and as soon as we sat down we said we wish there was a place like this at home. The atmosphere, decoration, music was very cool. Amazing service, friendly staff (Shina).. the food was.. INCREDIBLE!! I couldn't fit any more in but wanted to. We ordered bao buns, eggplant, tofu, fried rice.. I am gluten free and vegetarian, and the menu is so accommodating to dietary.

As a coeliac this was a fantastic place to eat! The only feedback I would say is that there were no alternative other than GF penne.. Other restaurants that cater for GF do have GF fettuccine as an alternative and it makes such a difference with your meal. This is only a minor complaint. Service was exceptional, food arrived quickly and was delicious. Overall it was great place to go

This place was awesome! The service was great! Very friendly and quick even though it was super busy. The boss had put enough people on - good work. Lots of gluten-free desert. Will be back!!!! This is a must go. 🙌

We had the gluten free version of the Hao San’s tasting menu for dinner when we went. Food was very fresh and delicious. The service was wonderful and it is evident that the staff have exceptional teamwork which made for a great experience. Slightly overpriced, however all the food is great quality.

The best Italian resturant in Canberra!! I have been here many times, and each time the food is AMAZING!! Their gluten free options are plentiful, and they take great care in no cross contamination and also offer celiac friendly and vegan options!! The pizza and pasta is phenomenal, and the service is kind and fast and taken with great care!! 10/10, love this place

The food was amazing! We went for the Valentines day set dinner and they catered for my dairy and gluten allergy. The meat was a shared plate with plenty of food for everyone. So tasty!

Ordered gluten free, explained coeliac, said they’d be careful and couldn’t guarantee no cross contamination, fair enough BUT they gave my daughter a gluten tortilla, that’s not cross contamination or being careful it’s pure carelessness. Daughter now the sickest she’s ever been, they clearly gave my other daughter her meal (ordered same but one with gluten free tortilla). Really unfortunate and restaurant was empty so wasn’t like they were busy. No care taken here.

Extensive menu , great food, good gluten free options. Well priced food and wine - especially compared to other restaurants nearby. The veal dishes were huge - could not finish, had no room left for dessert so will be back to try!

A restaurant with good food and ideal portions for sharing with vegetarian and gluten-free options (although on the pizza with anchovies the menu says it's vegetarian haha). The stuffed peppers were salty for my taste, but the rest of the food was very good, with excellent quality and flavor. The staff's service was excellent, always offering us the best recommendations, which was a success. I would definitely return for the food. As for the atmosphere, it was a bit distracting. The music was so loud that I sometimes couldn't hear the people around me, which caused me significant dysregulation and stress, as I couldn't follow the conversation. On the other hand, after a certain time, the lights would suddenly dim, so much so that between the loud music and the dim lighting, I found it "uncomfortable" 🫠. This is a personal preference and, above all, a warning for neurodivergent and highly sensitive people.

If I could give more stars I would. The second I walked in to Mezzalira it took me back to my Nonnas kitchen. The smells were just incredible and we hadn't even reached our table. The food was simply perfect. It was proper authentic Italian food that was beautifully simple and incredible in flavour. I had a the Tagliatelle carbonara that was just like the food you get in Italy. My husband has the Pork Neck (gluten free options!) Which was delicious. Our deserts were stunning. I had the poached pears which were incredible and my husband got a gluten free chocolate torte which was rich and chocolatey and just divine. The service the whole night was grat. Our waiter was knowledgeable, charming and had a wonderful sense of humor, making the whole night enjoyable! Thanks to the Mezzalira team for a wonderful dining experience!

Line was super long but moved quickly- staff super friendly. Allergy aware - gelatos are GF and labelled with a G if there’s gluten IN it - which is super helpful. Also dairy free / vegan options too. Beautiful interior
