Had a really great experience. Staff were very friendly and understanding of celiac requirements and made all the necessary efforts to avoid cross contamination. My daughter is highly sensitive and had no reactions after visiting SoLita.

This place was awesome! The service was great! Very friendly and quick even though it was super busy. The boss had put enough people on - good work. Lots of gluten-free desert. Will be back!!!! This is a must go. 🙌
We had the gluten free version of the Hao San’s tasting menu for dinner when we went. Food was very fresh and delicious. The service was wonderful and it is evident that the staff have exceptional teamwork which made for a great experience. Slightly overpriced, however all the food is great quality.
The best Italian resturant in Canberra!! I have been here many times, and each time the food is AMAZING!! Their gluten free options are plentiful, and they take great care in no cross contamination and also offer celiac friendly and vegan options!! The pizza and pasta is phenomenal, and the service is kind and fast and taken with great care!! 10/10, love this place
Just divine! Popped in for dinner on a Saturday night. My first impression - they knew we had a coeliac at the table due to our booking notes. It was so refreshing!!! The food was excellent. As a coeliac they gave me recommendations on what they could guarantee would be completely gluten free. I had the barramundi and it was delicious. The rest of the table enjoyed the set menu with the chicken and fish curries. Everyone was impressed by the quality and taste of the food. The service was top notch - our waiter was very attentive and helped us out with what to order for the group. The drinks were also yum! Cannot recommend high enough! We’ll be back!!
First time at Wilma and expectations exceeded. Lots of gluten free options and incredibly helpful and friendly staff (thanks Irina!). The wagyu cooked on an open flame is fabulous. Must order.
Such beautiful experience to have my birthday with family here. Great food and super helpful in sorting out gluten free options. Awesome friendly service by the staff. Thanks again for making such a great day.
The food was INCREDIBLE! It was super tasty, there were labels on the menu for Vegan, Gluten Free and Vegetarian which was awesome and the service was great. The only issue is that with our designated seating time, our food was delayed and came out 10 minutes before we had to be out. But I would recommend the later seating if you are to go, because the food and drinks are definitely worth it.
Ordered gluten free, explained coeliac, said they’d be careful and couldn’t guarantee no cross contamination, fair enough BUT they gave my daughter a gluten tortilla, that’s not cross contamination or being careful it’s pure carelessness. Daughter now the sickest she’s ever been, they clearly gave my other daughter her meal (ordered same but one with gluten free tortilla). Really unfortunate and restaurant was empty so wasn’t like they were busy. No care taken here.
Mama's trattoria is fantastic. The decor and food remind me of when we were in Italy and the prices are so much more reasonable than other Italian restaurants. The staff are so friendly and warm and the coffee is also great. I generally go for the gluten free pasta. Both eat in and takeaway work well.
The food was amazing! We went for the Valentines day set dinner and they catered for my dairy and gluten allergy. The meat was a shared plate with plenty of food for everyone. So tasty!
Boy am I glad that we decided to give Bar Beirut a go. The owner is absolutely lovely and it’s clear that this restaurant is the product of love and a deep-seated passion for food. Everything is pure class - the food, the staff, the vibes. Not to mention they were awesome catering for coeliac. For meals of this quality I would honestly expect to be paying a lot more anywhere else. Dish pick of the night would have to be the lamb shank - the owner informed me that it’s his Mum’s recipe too :) Also excellent were the Kofta and the Charred Chicken. Highly recommend, we will be back!
A work colleague too me to courgette because it’s a great place for him to get a coeliac friendly meal. I also have a lot of food intolerances, so i was a it nervous going to such a fancy place as they often don’t want to alter meals.
To my delight, there was selections on the 3 course lunch that I could eat with minimal alterations. All dishes were delightful. As with most fancy places - don’t come expecting massive meals, but they’re very very tasty.
It’s very quiet, so great for having a business conversation.
Would definitely Go back if I was living in Canberra.
Wow wow wow. What a great experience all round. The food is spectacular and they catered for my gluten allergy seamlessly. The staff were enthusiastic, helpful and very accommodating, very knowledgeable about the food and wines/cocktails. Everything was delicious and the bar has a great relaxed and hip vibe. My new favourite!
Busy Friday evening but managed to get a table. Large share meals were delicious and staff were all friendly. Didn't get orientated to the ordering system when seated but worked it out eventually. Options galore and veg/gluten free friendly.
I booked 88MPH for a private function and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The options for the different food and drinks packages were clearly explained and easily customisable so I got exactlywhat I wanted without having to compromise.
the menue had a wide variety with heaps of vegetarian and gluten free options and on the night all the food was delicious.
The staff that worked my event were absolute professional but still fun. They kept all my guest happy and were incredibly accommodating. They deserve all the credit for my party being a night I will never forget. Thank you Max, Issy, Piper, Rory and Maia you are superstars!!
Great gluten free menu with excellent wine made for a very pleasant Friday evening meal. Good prompt service and great tasty food presentation added to fine but casual dining.
Thai place is an institution! The food is always delicious, it’s well priced and service is top notch and friendly. I love the face I can have gluten free food here and the whole family loves the food too!
Too loud. Too dark. Got our order wrong and very slow service. Good tacos but lost points due to stale shell. Tiny drinks that are 95% ice. Gluten free options available but arnt stated on the menu. I had gluten free which might be why they were stale. I probably wont go back
Fantastic service. Waiters/resses were very knowledgeable and attentive.
Fantastic food. Good selection of omnivore and vegan meals. Also caters well for gluten free.
Thanks a lot!
The food was great, but the chips were cold and we had an issue with the app. We haven’t been to Nando’s in quite some time and haven’t gotten used to the app yet. As a person with celiac, I was looking for food without any wheat/gluten. I clicked on salads and read the ingredients, only read: “grains” and didn’t think it would be that much of a problem, the salad had wheat grains on top. I called an employee over and didn’t receive much help at all. Went to the chef and was told it was my problem for ordering salad with wheat on top and was showed the “allergy advice” button, the ingredient list didn’t show wheat grains at all. She replied with an angry tone and wasn’t kind at all. The chef needs to treat customers properly instead of telling them it’s their own problem.
Ordered Parmesan truffle fries which were delicious and a gluten free pizza.
When pizza came after eating a whole piece I realised it wasn’t gluten free and felt very ill. My partner asked the waitress if it was gluten free and she said she forgot to specify. I completely understood how that could happen I work in hospitality myself! We then waited another 25 minutes for the gf pizza. However all that was offered in compensation was a glass of sparkling! When the bill came, the pizza was not taken off the bill which I thought would have been automatic. I didn’t say anything because I was feeling so ill and just wanted to get home.
A small Italian gem that you should try for great food and hot drinks plus the heart of what Italians bring to food and service. Good gluten free options also.
They have great churros as usual 😋. But lately I've been trying out their selection of gelato and milkshakes. The milkshake was OK without being fantastic but gelato was good. I especially love it how they have gluten and dairy free dark chocolate and salted caramel. Regards @fooderarri
Good quality meat and charcoal bbq. Reasonable pricing given Canberra standards (which is usually a bit higher). Good for gluten free options (mostly bbq) and those on lower carbohydrate diets.
Just a word of warning for anyone gluten intolerant: I have ordered from here a number of times and have previously had good experiences. My one star review is based off this one experience which unfortunately is a large mistake: I am gluten intolerant, and usually, when I order a gluten-free pho, it comes with rice vermicelli instead of the chunky rice noodles (which are often mixed with wheat flour - I know this as I have searched far and wide for a gluten free brand of pho noodles so I could make it at home [with no success]). I ordered take away via Uber Eats today (requesting gluten free in my order) and when my order arrived it had chunky rice noodles. I called the store to let them know that I thought I'd received a non-gluten free order. The person on the phone assured me that the noodles were gluten free. After chatting with the person I checked the menu online which said 'Pho can be gluten free with vermacelli or tapioca noodles' so I called back to let them know that I did not think the chunky rice noodles were gluten free. They told me again it was (letting me know that 'their friend who is gluten intolerant can eat them') so I took their word, thinking maybe they'd changed the recipe. Fast forward roughly six hours and I feel incredibly ill and how I usually feel when I accidentally eat gluten. I called the store back just now to ask if the pho is gluten free (I did not mention I'd ordered earlier today) and (a different person) on the phone informed me that the pho is not gluten free but can be made gluten free if it comes with rice vermacelli.
This is the only meal I've eaten today and therefore is the only thing I can put it down to where I have been 'gluten poisoned' from. I understand mistakes happen, but I even called twice to make sure my order was gluten free. I hope that the restaurant would be much more careful in the future.
It was our first time at PappaRich, and we loved it. The staff was friendly, the service was fast, and the food very tasty, and reasonably priced.
There are lots of gluten free options, which I was very pleased with.
I had the GF R05 Pappa Special Nasi Lemak With Curry Chicken & Sambal Prawns, and it was delicious, the chicken was unbelievably tender and so were the prawns Yum!Yum! Yum!
We will definitely go again.
Five star service from fantastic staff. My wife and two grandchildren were warmly welcomed to our table by Ash on arrival. The friendly and wonderful waitperson, Sarah, made our night by ensuring all our needs were met (even our celiac 4year old grandson). We were all delighted by the meals made by chefs Mel and Michael and their hard working kitchen staff. Our grandchildren were so happy that they wanted to thank them personally and were invited to the kitchen to say hello. Great meals and great staff!
Not a gourmet location but super convenient and helpful staff and not expensive. The big plus here is the good coffee that is well executed. Had a delicious double espresso from ONA Ethiopian washed process single origin beans. There was a mistake on a dirty almond chai latte but they just immediately made another one no questions asked! Only giving 4 stars because the omelette game could be stepped up but fix that and I’d give 5. The big breakfast was a hit with my lil guy who smashed it. Gluten free options available and almond milk for those who are evading allergy issues.
Line was super long but moved quickly- staff super friendly.
Allergy aware - gelatos are GF and labelled with a G if there’s gluten IN it - which is super helpful.
Also dairy free / vegan options too.
Beautiful interior
I was in the area when the bright lights and delicious smell of Hi! Crepe lured me in on a rainy day. I had a hard time choosing what to order, luckily the chef was able to help me pick. I ended going for the Mung bean crepe combo (number 15) 🤤 Let’s start with the crepe! The texture was similar to a tortilla but softer - the chef tells me the mung bean crepe is made from entirely from ground mung beans. This means it’s gluten free! Just be sure to ask for it without the crispy wonton skins if you’re going for something gluten free. I think it’s an excellent way to sneak pulses into your diet!
The portions are HUGE! I consider myself a big eater, but I struggled to get through the second hand and admitted defeat. I thought it was a little salty, this is because the crepe contains a soybean spread - it reminds me of miso, doenjang etc. I chose to add sausage and lettuce to the crepe. The lettuce helped with the saltiness, I have no comment on the sausage. There wasn’t enough for it to make a difference even way haha. I’ll point out that the saltiness might have contributed to my inability to finish this because I had to drink a LOT 😂
Let’s move onto the tea egg, I actually dislike eggs but I also grew up eating tea eggs. Which is a rather roundabout way of saying I’m picky with eggs. Unfortunately for me, I feel like the tea egg tasted just like a regular boiled egg. This means the stock it was brined it needs more soy and tea leaves. If the flavours were adjusted, this could have been a great egg. I’ll give brownie points for the yolk though, hard boiled but not mealy.
Last but not least, the soy milk. I can tell from first taste that this is homemade the traditional way - it’s silky and creamy, largely lacks the soybean aftertaste that can be unpleasant, and with a little added sugar is a very pleasant experience overall. If you order anything from Hi Crepe, go for the fresh hot soy milk! If they sold this by the bottle, I’d gladly make the switch. By the way, this tastes nothing like supermarket soy milk - you’ll have to taste it to see what I mean hehe.
Prices/Recommendations:
Classic Mung Bean Crepe Combo - $17
Includes: crepe with soybean paste & egg filling, soy milk + added sugar, Chinese tea egg
Extras: ham sausage $1.20, lettuce 80¢
NOTE: if you like your soy milk sweet, then remember to ask for sugar to be added. Otherwise your milk will be on the savoury end.
This is my favourite café in Civic. Complimentary sparkling water on tap is a very nice touch. There is usually something gluten-free in the cake display. But, I come here for the coffee passion, the fun murals, and it’s an easy place to source beans from Toby’s Estate with usually a couple of varieties available to take home. Very nice people, extra nice coffee.
Enjoyed a relaxing lunch with the wife, friendly service with excellent food.
Highly recommend the roast pumpkin and potatos.
Potato where perfectly cooked and seasoned, went well with my roast pumpkin ravioli with burnt butter sauce.
Use of fresh herbs really brings out the flavour in the meals.
Moscato was sweet but not to sweet, dessert options are limited but good.
Reasonable selection for gluten free dietary requirements also.
