A Culinary Haven in Oshawa - A Personal Favorite!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The White Apron Restaurant holds a special place in my heart, & it has consistently been a favourite of mine every time I revisit Oshawa. Introduced by a friend in 2019, this culinary haven has never failed to impress.
One of the standout features for me is their dedication to accommodating dietary preferences. The fact that they offer gluten-free toast & French toast is a game-changer, especially for someone like me who is celiacs. It's a rare find & adds an extra layer of love for this spot.
The food itself is nothing short of delicious, & the portion sizes are generous. Many of the meals are so hearty that they can easily be shared, making it a perfect spot for a communal dining experience.
The staff at The White Apron are the true gems. Their super-friendly, helpful, & kind demeanour adds to the overall welcoming atmosphere. It's evident that they are passionate about what they do, & their dedication to ensuring a positive dining experience is truly commendable.
Now, let's address the only minor hiccup—the parking situation. Being located downtown, parking can be a bit tricky, but it's by no means unmanageable. The inconvenience is a small price to pay for the culinary delights that await inside.
In conclusion, The White Apron Restaurant is a true gem in Oshawa, & my personal favourite. The dedication to accommodating various dietary needs, coupled with delicious food & exceptional staff, makes it a must-visit. The parking challenge is a minor detail compared to the overall joy this restaurant brings. Highly recommended!
Delicious food options, gluten free options and orange that is freshly squeezed and frothed - a rather unique take on OJ - love our breakfast/brunch experience at the restaurant.
Tastefully decorated and vibrant, this spot serves amazing curries with customizable spice levels and generous portions that keep diners coming back.

Party of 6 for dinner. We all had various types of curry including the fried basa, Goan shrimp, Shrimp tika masala, Lamb, Onion bhujjia (onion rings), pulao rice and naan. Food was delicious. Love that you can set the spiciness of most food. All the curries were gluten free as well. Good sized portions. Masala chai had a nice bite. Mango lassi was very thick! The service was quick and couteous. Will definitely go back!
Authentic Mexican vibes shine here, with delicious tacos and a must-try Tres Leches Cake—definitely a spot you’ll want to revisit!

Thank you to the folks at Mexitaco Oshawa!! You were all so friendly and also accommodating to my mom’s gluten allergy. My mom was able to have the Birria Tacos and Elote with no issues even though she has Celiac disease. So awesome.
We ordered the Birria Tacos, Elote, Mexican Fries, and Tres Leches Cake. The tacos were authentic and absolutely delicious. The cake was also so amazing. I could literally eat ten of those. Unreal!
It’s so nice to have an authentic Mexican restaurant so close to home. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much. Next time we hope to be able to try the Chicharron. ❤️
Hands down absolutely the best soup I have eaten I am celiac and it's hard to find tasty food the took out the noodles and added extra bean sprouts 🥰🥰🥰🥰 if I could give 1000 stars I would!!!!! Will definitely be a regular choice by me
I've been a few times now. Our normal dinner for 2 is to split the Pizza and add a meat stick for each of us. This is delicious dinner for 2 under $20 and rolling out the door full. I've also been for take-out and chose this location because meat sticks plus fantastic salads make a great choice for my low carb friend. And recently I planned a family birthday dinner here, including a baby and a gluten free diner. Everything was delicious, allergies were accommodated and a high chair was available. The only thing we could have improved was speed of service, but the birthday boy believes that having to wait is a good sign of fresh food and a full lobby means it's worth the wait. I can agree with both those statements. Well done.
